It’s Wednesday!!

It’s a gloomy Wednesday morning here in Corfu Greece and once again I’m sitting in the most beautiful Starbucks in the world. It’s nice to have my ice tea and be able to write from this awesome location!

Last week’s Antithesis Hour generated quite a bit of feedback and I’m fairly certain this week won’t be any different as Mike and I resume our discussion of Rob Bell’s new book Love Wins. You can hear the program live Thursday evenings at 10pm Eastern/7pm Pacific here or you can visit our site here to download the program that will be made available sometime on Friday.

It’s Wednesday!!

It’s a sunny Wednesday here in beautiful Corfu Greece. It looks like we’ll be having awesome weather around here for a while. Spring is finally here! That’s good news since most of us here in Corfu are absolutely fed up with rain and other miscellaneous nasty weather.

Folks who’ve actually taken the time to read Rob Bell’s latest book have been chiming in and I must say my friend Michael Newnham has written the best one I’ve seen thus far….and the best line of all;

If you buy the print version, I hope it comes in a “Charmin” edition so you can get some value out of it.

Priceless!!! Continue reading

Who Cares What Rob Bell Thinks About Hell, or Anything Else For That Matter

I don’t know about you but I’m sick  and tired of the bloggers talking about Rob Bell and his new book Love Wins. The book isn’t even out yet but that hasn’t stopped silly people from commenting on and in some cases reviewing a book they haven’t even read.

Who cares what Rob Bell thinks about hell or anything else for that matter?

What Shall We Do With This Church?

People often tell me they don’t go to church because they can’t seem to find one that faithfully teaches the Word or has other problems they don’t want to be a part of. That’s fair enough. The last few days I’ve been reading about a church that is, quite frankly, a mess.

I’m afraid to name this church publicly for fear the ODM’s will tar and feather these people, vilify the Pastor and label it a “clown church”. Some may even call for the church planter to be fired for incompetence! Perhaps the Pastor of this church will be labeled a “goat herder” or even be called a “fake pastor” Continue reading

Wells Without Water! New Theology Today Video!

Well, I finally got off my butt and made a video. I hope you all enjoy it! I’d also like to invite you to visit the new Theology Today blog. After months of posting issues with WordPress I changed over this past week. You can view the site here. I’ll still be keeping this site up but this will most likely be the last new posting for this site.

Does it Really Matter if Jesus Wasn’t Born of a Virgin?

I received an email from a reader asking me if it mattered or not whether Jesus was born of a virgin. Apparently this person, while looking for a new church home for their family had been investigating some churches in the area when the “pastor” asked his rather large congregation if they would still follow Christ if He wasn’t born of a virgin…… Continue reading
