Do All Babies Go to Heaven?

im_always_right_i_know_it_just_ask_me_embroidered_hat-p233634491112613347dq6q_400People are silly some times. As I’m finding out folks claiming some sort of faith in Christ aren’t in the minority here either. Because I’m the odd duck in that I’m a Reformed believer I get all kinds of ridicule and attempts at correction.

You know what else I’m learning? People who criticize those of us who believe in the Doctrines of Sovereign Grace don’t have a clue what reformed theology actually is.

That doesn’t stop folks from criticizing us though.

Yesterday a well meaning young fella informed me that he could never serve, worship or even choose a “god” that could send babies to hell. He also claimed that Martin Luther NEVER taught that infants go to hell.

His use of the word “choose” tells me he doesn’t have a hint of what Reformed Theology is. We don’t choose God He chooses us (John 6:44) and that’s what Reformed believers believe.

Did Martin Luther teach that babies can go to hell?

I don’t think folks truly understand the Reformers or what they taught and believed. Salvation by faith alone in Christ alone was the hill that men like Martin Luther and John Calvin were willing to die on.

Men like Martin Luther and John Calvin believed that men are drawn by God and the only way to salvation was by FAITH ALONE in CHRIST ALONE.

I don’t care how many “guarantees” one makes Martin Luther NEVER claimed anything different.

Did Martin Luther practice “infant baptism”? Sure he did. Did he believe baptism “saves” the one being baptized? No he did not and to imply such a thing would be wrong.

And babies? If they die do they all go to heaven?

This is above my pay grade. Like Luther and Calvin I believe in salvation by faith alone in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8). I believe this was a gift given to me by a choice God made about me at the beginning of time (Romans 8:29-30). I also trust God because he is good (Psalms 100:5), just (1 John 1:9), merciful (Deut 4:31), loving (1 John 4:8) forgiving (Isaiah 43:25-26) and most importantly, unlike man, He is never wrong (Job 34:12).

That’s what I believe….

This weeks Calvin’s Corner was a lot of fun to do. While we didn’t talk about where babies go when they die we did discuss the reaction by some of our Reformed Brethren who decided to play God with their very own Lambs Book of Life and actually claim that 21 Coptic Christians martyred by ISIS weren’t Christians. I’ll leave the player below or you can visit our Calvin’s Corner website and download the program.

New Birth Crowns Eddie Long as King

My first thought after watching this video was “they must be joking”. After watching it again it’s obvious that they weren’t joking.

“Bishop” Eddie Long has now been crowned a king.

I was stunned when I heard the supposedly Jewish fella state “no more a commoner but a King” before the cheering New Birth crowd.

Had the scroll they wrapped around their new “King” been made of Charmin it would have been more appropriate.

What a load of manure.

I don’t know who I felt sorrier for; the dumbstruck crowd who don’t seem to know any better or the four dudes who had the unfortunate task of hoisting up the new “King”, throne and all, on their shoulders.

I wouldn’t want to be in any of their shoes when they meet the real King of King and Lord of Lords.

My Faith is in Christ and not Harold Camping……or in ANYONE Else!!

Harold Camping didn’t apologize for his false predictions…..and rather than taking responsibility for his bogus claims is now stating that the judgment he predicted would occur on May 21, 2011 actually did occur and that it was a spiritual judgment and everything else will occur on October 21, 2011.

It’s business as usual for the folks at Family Life Radio….

Gee, go figure. Continue reading

Curtis Reinas Claims Infallibility !!!

The “Church is a Harlot” advocate Curtis “Jersey Boy” Reinas is at it again demonstrating once again these apostates simply can’t be taken seriously. I’ve highlighted some of “Jersey Boy’s” silly statements here but in the link below you will see a couple of statements that are absolutely mind numbing, not to mention unbiblical.

Can’t you just hear the voice of James Earl Jones whenever you read one of “Jersey Boys” written edicts? Continue reading

Thank God For Baseball and True Baseball Fans!!!

The 2011 Major League Baseball season began for some teams yesterday. The NY Mets open their season tonight at 7:10pm against the Florida Marlins.

Thank God for baseball!!

True baseball fans can be very passionate about their teams. They wear the caps, jerseys, wave the pennants and can be and are very vocal about their team of choice. True baseball fans blog, do podcasts and many fans participate on forums where they disagree with each other on everything from who is the best ballplayer of all time right down to who serves the best mustard at the ballpark. Please Go Away Todd Bentley!!

There are some folks, well, plenty of folks I wish would just shut up and go away. Some of those people have small platforms so when they speak no one really pays attention to their lunacy. Todd Bentley is one of those who I wish would just shut up but for some strange reason people still want to hear him speak. LOTS and LOTS of people. Below is an interview Todd did with Lisa Ling.

Who Cares What Rob Bell Thinks About Hell, or Anything Else For That Matter

I don’t know about you but I’m sick  and tired of the bloggers talking about Rob Bell and his new book Love Wins. The book isn’t even out yet but that hasn’t stopped silly people from commenting on and in some cases reviewing a book they haven’t even read.

Who cares what Rob Bell thinks about hell or anything else for that matter?
