It’s a beautiful Wednesday in Corfu Greece. The sun is out and it feels like a summer day today. I’m a little tired from the morning session but I thought I had better head on over to the most beautiful Starbucks in the world and get things done.
One of the definitions of insanity is repeating the same things over and over again expecting a different result.
I know professing Christians who fit the above definition to a tee….
The bible tells us that we are to earnestly contend for the faith (Jude 3).
The bible also tells us how we are supposed to earnestly contend for the faith (1Peter3:15-16).
There’s also that bit about the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Another helpful text would be the requirements for church leadership (1Timothy 3) paying particular attention to things like not quarrelsome, respectful and patient…
I think folks get caught up on what should be done and don’t give a hoot in hell for the how they are supposed to do what should be done.
I think the how we defend the faith is important…..don’t you?
The bible teaches that we are to contend for the faith without being contentious about it.
Let me share some advice if I may…..
If you or someone you know fit the description of someone who has no boundaries, are getting booted and banned from Christian forums, have become a laughing stock on at least four continents or your name is used as an ad hominem attack….
You or someone you know assumes the identity of a blog administrator of a blog that has banned them in order to have your “opinion” heard…..
If you or someone you know is normally someone other Christians would tend to agree and associate with want nothing to do with you and the only ones that do are either heretics or atheists……
Then please either repent or take the name of Jesus out of your mouth because you fit the definition of insanity and not the definition of a Christian.
Thank you and have a great Wednesday everyone!
