It’s Wednesday!!

It’s Wednesday here at the most beautiful Starbucks in the world and as usual it’s raining once again. Well, it’s actually sunny right now. Here’s how it works around here;

Ten minutes of torrential downpours followed by ten minutes of ferocious thunder and lightning followed by 10 minutes of sunshine or at least that’s how my friend Laura puts it. I think she’s correct on this. All of this nonsense is supposed to end tomorrow night or so they say!

Tonight at 10pm Eastern I will once again be co-hosting The Antithesis Hour with Michael Loomis. Tonight we will be following up on the discussion we had last week. If you haven’t heard last week’s broadcast you can listen to it here. One Scripture I’ve kept on my mind throughout these discussions is this one;

1Corinthians 10:31 (emphasis mine)

Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

The Miami Heat (aka Miami Thrice) began the Lebron James era with a defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics. James scored 31 points but it wasn’t enough to defeat the veteran Celtics. I know its only one game but I think “Miami Thrice” are going to have trouble getting it together. After all there’s only one ball and James, Chris Bosh as well as Dwayne Wade are all used to having it in their hands……..often. It will be interesting how this season goes.

The World Series begins tonight. The Texas Rangers travel to San Francisco to take on the Giants in what should be an entertaining series. The National League has the home field advantage so there won’t be a designated hitter in four of the seven games. Last year the DH (Hideki Matsui) played a major role in the Spankees victory. We’ll just have to wait and see how both Managers manage their teams. Look for the Giants in 6.

Today I thought I would share a quote with you all from Charles Haddon Spurgeon. I think it’s fitting and will help me demonstrate what direction this site is taking…..

A Christian should be a striking likeness of Jesus Christ. You have read lives (i.e., biographies] of Christ, beautifully and eloquently written; but the best life of Christ is His living biography, written out in the words and actions of His people.”
– Charles Haddon Spurgeon

Have a great Wednesday!!
