September 11, 2001

Today marks the 9th anniversary of the September 11th World Trade Center attacks. The New York City skyline will never be the same again without the “twin towers”.

Two wars and a trillion or so dollars later and we are no closer to catching the man responsible for this gutless attack.  Osama Bin Laden is still out there somewhere and for the life of me I can’t figure out why he hasn’t been apprehended and brought to justice.

Pastor Terry Jones has found a way to use this tragedy to get his 15 minutes of fame. Rather than igniting a fire for Christ he’s chosen to incite those he disagrees with. Pouring gasoline on a fire is never a good idea. I suggest he take the plastic cover off of his Bible and read Acts 17 for tips on how to evangelize those who choose to follow other God’s.

Moving on.

The NY Mets are finished for 2010. That shouldn’t be any surprise for die hard Mets fans or anyone knowledgeable about the game of baseball. At least they gave us some interesting and entertaining moments this season.

The NFL season kicks off this weekend! I’ll watch a replay of the New Orleans Saints/Minnesota Vikings game today and hopefully later this week I’ll catch the NY Jets take on the Baltimore Ravens. In case you are wondering I’m a Jets fan!

The US Open wraps up today. The men’s semi-finals and the women’s final are today with the men’s final slated for Sunday. Look for a Rafael Nadal/Roger Federer final on Sunday!

Have a great weekend everyone!
