Ripped Off by a Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing!!!

The topic of yesterdays podcast, Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing, seems to be a hot topic of discussion these days, especially in Chino, California. Allegedly an administrator of Calvary Chapel Chino, made off with between 500,ooo and 1,000,000 bucks from the church coffers over the last 4 years or so!

(source) (source)That’s a lot of loot my friends! I wonder how many times this sort of thing occurs within the mega churches?

Now you can understand why some of the WoF pimps have armed security. They most certainly are aware there are dishonest folks out there as their reflection in the mirror reminds them of this reality daily.

It’s unfortunate that the man accused of this crime, Farrukh Ahmed, was or maybe still is a Muslim. Unfortunate meaning that  former Muslims who’ve converted to Christianity might receive the same treatment some Muslims received after 9/11. You know, the sideways looks and suspicion that seems to follow whenever silliness on the part of one  is discovered.

Of course there are some claiming that Mr. Ahmed was stealing the money and giving it to a mosque. These kind of statements aren’t very helpful especially if they are untrue,  but, as we’ve seen around here the past couple of weeks innuendo and baseless accusations seem to be the “Christian’s” weapon of choice these days.

Did Pastor Jack Hibbs do the right thing in calling the police or should he of handled this differently?

Would you restore Farrukh Ahmed back to his original position as Rick Joyner and others did with Todd Bentley? My answer? Sure, when his hands grow back.

Speaking of Todd Bentley I found this announcement on his site (source)

I’m sure Bentley has LOT’S to share at his healing school.

Heaven help those who learn from that dude…..

  1. Did Pastor Jack Hibbs do the right thing in calling the police or should he of handled this differently?
I think he did. This is beyond the scope of “church correction” IMHO, this guy is a felon. If he’s a brother, perhaps he will have a ministry in prison. If not, maybe he will “get it” while there.

  2. There is a lot not being said or felt in what I read in this blog. Mr. Ahmed will ultimately be judged, forgiven or condemned by God Himself. It should be our prayer that he get right with God NOW, no matter what his previous state was. Jesus died for ALL sin for every one of us. We must all check ourselves because it’s in our human nature to love a good scandalous story because it makes us feel better about ourselves since we “know” we’re not so bad as that person. Jesus knows our hearts better than we know them ourselves so we better be careful. Come on everyone, think! I know some theology indicates that there are those people who were predetermined to be destined to God’s wrath, but am I God & do I have the inside information on ultimate judgement? We are to know “by their fruits you shall know them” NOT THEIR WORDS, as Pastor Jack said so well said that he will never again see this area of the bible the same again, having lived through a real life example of SERIOUS betrayal. IT IS NOT JUST ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!! THINK, think, about the deep hurt of being SO deceived by Mr. “Arman” Farrukh Ahmed. Think how Pastor Jack felt, giving Mr. Ahmed so much trust. He trusted him with his families’ very lives for goodness sakes! Then finding out he was AT LEAST ACTING exactly like a Judas Iscariot! Who loved money, not the Word of God. I think evryone should agree that a true sign of repentance & restoration to fellowship (or becoming a real Christian for the first time) would have Mr. Ahmed proving it by doing a LOT of SERIOUS Restitution, like for the rest of his life, if that’s what it takes to pay back everything he stole.(Not sure how he’s gonna do that if he’s in jail for a long time, or how he’s gonna get a job Earning a lot of money as a felon) If he at least has stuff he could sell, money set aside, or any kind of a “nest egg” somwhere, he sould HAVE TO give all that back NOW. BIBLICAL EXAMPLE: Zacheus the tax collector promised Jesus he would give back 4 times more than what he over-charged people on their taxes! And Jesus said that “today salvation has come to Zacheus’ house.” Would like to see Mr. Ahmed do something like that! Maybe he made some really wise investments out there somewhere & he could pay back more than he took. We’ll see. Beyond that, having REAL, genuine fruit in his life, like LOVE by actions being the #1 thing showing it. I agree that people’s mouths go off too quickly & start spreading rumors without facts. I do understand the fear of being deceived by a person acting like a Christian but still being a Muslim, because in their “religion” it’s okay for the end to justify the means – that’s truly a scarry thing. We are going to need to seek God on how to be truly discerning in these times, because hopefully our gospel is going to be spreading to more Muslims having true conversions to Christ. I hope the investigation will be able to bring out all the solid facts soon so we can share in knowing the truth, not rumors. Pray for all those hurt & still hurting who were involved in a relationship with this man & his family. Pray for his family too; his wife, sons & daughter.

  3. I do agree that this was outside of a church discipline issue. But, Pastor Jack did give Ahmed time to come forward on his own to “tell all” and deal with it before the authorities got involved, but he didn’t. Then, as soon as the cops got to Ahmed’s house, THEN he told all, after they asked him if he knew why they were there. Why, if he was a “real brother” didn’t he go to Pastor Jack with all he knew that he had done? At that time a different decision may have been able to be made, as to what to do next. Unfortunately, for a lot of people, he didn’t give Pastor Jack an opportunity to do it that way. I am now afraid that this will turn into a big legal circus with accusations being hurled against Jack & our church &/or the way its business structure was handled.
