Nasir Siddiki and “The Seed”

Dr. Nasir Siddiki

Someone wrote to me the other day and referred to me as a “heresy hunter” and my reply was simply “I don’t have to hunt them down because most of the Word of Faith (WoF) wolves deliver their heresy right to my inbox. Dr. Nasir Siddiki is one of those very kind wolves and today we’ll take a look at his latest “teaching” called “Your Seed”.

The entire newsletter can be found at the link below…..please open this and follow along with me!

If you notice the good “Dr.” begins by telling the unlucky reader that God Can’t answer prayers and then erroneously uses, or should I say misuses a Scripture verse which is talking about what God has already provided us with……..lets look at the whole section rather then the cherry picked version to gain a clearer picture of what Peter says God has already provided;

2Peter 1:1-3 NKJV
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The promise we’ve been given is eternal life through the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ……that’s what Peter was talking about here……not houses or cars or money……..furthermore this Scripture has nothing to do with prayer……..answered or otherwise…….this is what we are told by Peter about our prayers;

1Peter 5:7-8 NKJV

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Siddiki then goes on to tell us that God wants us to be successful and live with “blessings, provisions, healing and authority”……..all partly true but Siddiki doesn’t define the terms here so if taken into context with the newsletter its probably a safe guess to assume Siddiki means something entirely different from what the bible actually teaches these terms to mean.

Notice how he then instructs his readers to sow seeds (cash) into his ministry…..Nowhere in the bible, at least not in any of the several I personally own, does it ever teach the “seed” is cash that needs to be sown in order for God to bless His children. The only “seed” sown to bless His children was the “seed of the woman” found in Genesis 3:15……..

Of course you must “sow the seed” into Dr. Siddiki and his ministry in order to reap your financial harvest. That’s what he means by God “testing your obedience”

The real deal here is simple. This man needs money so he can then take your money in order to make more money for himself and his family. Every seed you sow into this mans “ministry” enables men like Siddiki to rob more poor people hoping to get money from the cosmic banker in the sky……a banker that doesn’t even remotely resemble the God of the Bible…….

My question is this;

Are you going to let him?

  1. I went to school with this guy at Rhema in 1997. I do remember the testimony he gave. He was a powerful orator. It’s amazing how far greed can take you and what you are willing to do for the love of money. I hope that my brothers and sisters wrapped up in this doctrine will wake up and see the heresy for what it is.

When will we speak out against the exploitation of the poor and weak?

  2. Since you are referring to scripture, how about this one Psalms 105:15
“Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” Maybe you should heed this warning. This man is truly anointed by God and does harm to no one, you should be careful about attacking Gods people.

  3. Hi Phil,

Just wanted to say that I agree with the principle of sowing and reaping and that it is indeed possible to reap more than a hundred fold return. But before those WOF supporters think I am on their side let me clarify what I mean. Truly if you break the ground and put a grain of corn in it, the Lord in His mercy will send rain to cause the seed to break and grow up into a stalk with about 4 to 6 ears of corn on it. Now that is more than an hundredfold return and we do not need to confess over it to receive the harvest. Where I come from I have personally done this and seen the increase. However this type of sowing should never be confused with what the prosperity teachers preach because money can never be seed in just the same way that the tithe can never be money (its food).

In any event this type of “sowing” that people like Siddiki teaches is tantamount to sowing to the flesh in order to reap corruptible things. Yet Scripture teaches us to sow to the Spirit in order to reap incorruption.

    Gal 6:18
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

The scripture here is very clear in that if we “sow money” with the hope of satisfying the lust of the flesh in attaining houses, cars, learjets etc we are on the path to destruction. 1 Tim 6 backs this up:

9 People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses

  4. The understanding of sowing is that when you wants to reap don’t sow on ground where “THE TRUTH of Jesus” is not proclaimed, all the other is “dead ground”
“The Truth shall set you free”
Mirriam and Aaron could’t understand their brother’s actions by marrying Kushite woman, and they were cursed by sores on their skins.Only after they repented, God pardoned them.
God made His choice and that was it!
    If you don’t understand,rather bless.
    God WILL oneday Judge!
Praise the Lord God Almighty for saving a Moslem!!
    Haleluja!
    God is soooo Good.
Jonah would not want to go to Nineveh, because he NEW God’s Mercy and “he”Jonah would not want the people to be saved,
    God is Love,
    God is compassion
God is a God of Adventure
Sow a seed in “fertile ground” and just be happy
    Trust the Holy Spirit!
    Be Blessed

    • This is the same old seed faith that Oral Roberts started in the 1950s. It was wrong then and wrong now. Roberts, Pat Robertson, and Jim and Tammy Baker and The whole TBN clan killed any chance of there ever being a real Christian T.V. network.

  5. I am not a regular on TBN, BUT, in a sence you are right!
When it comes to proclaim the truth TBN is good,(just preaching The Word) BUT when it comes to this “Auction business” I just don’t want to be known as a christian too.
The way they present it and the way they “auction” “The Word” down, is not how God mend it to be.
The way Jesus taught it was to “Disciple” people and send them out,Not by plane or train, but to LIVE JESUS!in your own community.
When we were children we use to play a game called “king, king”
One stands on something and all the other children stands a distand from you.
Then they ask, king, king may I go on a journey!
Then you Control them by giving commands “one or two giant steps”or whatever, baby steps…
But the moment they could touch you, you are off.
Now these preachers are like that, they control you, as long as they don’t have to disciple you so that you can’t be, the next one to stand on top to have the “controlling shout”for then they won’t be “king” anymore.
I do agree though, when they write books, and cd’s and tapes, for their own support, but even that became so expensive that no ordinary man can buy it, they are separated you can’t touch them, they have bodyguards,it’s a real hollywood thing!
The best, read your bible, count your relationship with the Lord costly, rely on the voice of the Holy Spirit, and give your 10th to where it is most needed in you own community.
God says in His Word, “Obedience is more costly than burnt offerings”.
Live Jesus, love your neighbour as you love yourself, and you will be blessed by God Himself!!
    “Faith without works is dead”
Visit people in your community, the hospital or provide a little food, pray for them and bless them.God blessed us to be a blessing. You don’t have to own a plane and fly somewhere to be a blessing.
I always says “you will not find Jesus in Ostrich leather shoes, you will find Him in sandals”
    meaning in a simple way.
These people are dressed like for a ball. Why can’t they just be “normal?”
    Bless you Brother.
    Have a nice day
    pop

  6. Well, once again, I notice that in church when is talking about money, giving, tithing, offerings, there are always those who feel offended at the time of giving,
Wat I have seen in the study of the word of God is that who gives have to do it for love, not by necessity or obligation, just for LOVE.
And who receives the offering whoever will give account to God.
But those who love money will feel very offended when confronted to give.
how to give what they love so much?
    and to a man? NEVER.
People like you always say that Preachers loves money, that they are greedy, and do not realize that you have an idol in the heart, MONEY, AND THEREFORE CAN NOT GIVE IT.

  7. There is blessing and power in ONE seed…God planted it and raised it up on the third day!
All power in Heaven and earth is entrusted to this seed..this Word..this son!
In him we can all inherit Sonship with the Father of all things…
    Error is preached..(the Spirit grieves)
yet people find salvation…God is Faithful…even if belevers come to Him by error..He will not let anyone/thing take them from His Hand.
Seed faith is error!!! Pray for the eyes of the blinded to be opened!
The field is sown with weeds…But God will not pull up the weeds if His own would be injured.
Wait on the Lord, Wait patiently on the Lord.

  8. Why do you call this man a heritic? Have you not read in the Bible that Paul said those who teach the Word have a right to be provided for by those that are being taught? And if this man is evangelising, and you support his service to the Lord, you are sowing a seed. You are being a partaker in the extension of God’s Kingdom. And there is always a blessing when there is obedience. I doubt very much that you are understanding what Sidikki is saying about prayer. When Sidikki was sick, on his deathbed, he prayed WITHOUT giving a Christian organisation a “donation”. And God heard his prayer, healed him and Sidikki realsied who the Living God truly is. And in response accepted Christ as his Saviour. When Sidikki speaks about prayer and answers…what you are twisting is this…Faith without works is dead. For example…a man “prays” for God to give him employment…but he does not go out job hunting. He parks in his couch, not putting his faith into action by looking for a job. In a similar way, what Sidikki is saying is that the request you have made to God requires an accompanying act of faith. As for the verse you use as an example…please highlight that in that exact verse God has given us “ALL things” that pertain to life…and in todays modern world that would mean a home, a car etc etc.Proverbs also says that the Lord makes one rich and adds no sorrow with it. So why is it a problem to be abundantly blessed financially? It put’s a Christian in a position to be a blessing to others…does it not? And one should honour God…after all…wasn’t it God who gave? Are we like the 9 leppers that get a gift of healing but don’t say thank you to Jesus? Or are we that 1 lepper who said thenk you. And seeing people “love” money so much…give exactly that which you would be tempted to “love” more than God. That’s my response!
