As many of you are aware, I currently reside in Greece. Last week Daystar founder Marcus Lamb announced that Daystar was in negotiations with a group from Athens Greece to bring Christian Television to Greece. A source close to this situation has confirmed to me this is a “done deal”. Apparently, Lamb feels he is fulfilling the “Great Commission” and uses the Scripture “to the Jews and then to the Greeks” to somehow validate this acquisition.
Yes, Daystar is apparently coming to Greece to spread their version of the Gospel. I find this rather odd when you consider Greece is 98% Orthodox Christian. Why would Orthodox Christians need to be evangelized via the airwaves or anywhere else for that matter? Do the majority of Daystar’s “evangelists even promote the Gospel message? Let’s look at some of the more prominent evangelists who will be appearing in the homes of Orthodox Christians on a daily basis.
John Hagee: Dual Covenant prosperity teacher who desires a war between the USA and Iran.
Rod Parsley: Prosperity and healing teacher who teaches the “point of contact” prayer doctrine.
Creflo Dollar: Prosperity teacher who teaches that Jesus was the first “born again man”.
Paula White: Prosperity “life coach” who teaches self exaltation over obedience to Christ.
T D Jakes: Modalist who denies the essential Christian doctrine of the Trinity.
Kenneth Copeland: Teaches the “Born again Jesus” doctrine as well as healing via sowing a seed.
Joyce Meyer: Prosperity teacher who adheres to the “Born again Jesus” doctrine.
Joel Osteen: Pop psychology teacher who teaches “self exaltation” over obedience to Christ.
Jerry Savelle: Prosperity teacher.
Jesse Duplantis: Prosperity teacher who claims to have visited heaven to “cheer God up”.
Holiness and Christian living is rarely taught by these evangelists. The Name of Christ is rarely mentioned unless it is to degrade and dishonor Him. Sin is NEVER mentioned. Wait, that’s wrong. These “evangelists” teach that poverty is a sin. Sorry for my mistake.
Money money money. Gimme gimme gimme. Most of the “evangelists” appearing on the Daystar Network teach this ad nauseum. They spend most of their allotted time appealing for money to keep them on the air. When they aren’t making appeals for money, their hawking their books, tapes, seminars and worthless trinkets and whatever else they can think of to make more money for their “ministries”. Of course, they are their ministries so the money really goes in their houses, cars, clothing, vacations, airplanes and cosmetic surgeries. Ooops, I forgot to mention their personal bank accounts.
They call this evangelizing. How, pray tell, can anyone learn about Christ when Christ is never mentioned? Or what about sin? Oh wait, poverty is the only sin they ever seem to talk about and it’s a sin to question the “Man of God” “touch not my anointed”.
I imagine a “sinner’s prayer” of one of their newly converted viewers going something like this;
“Oh great slot machine in the sky, please forgive me of my poverty and for demanding that the man of God stop sleeping with my wife. This is wrong and I repent of this right now. I promise to buy every book and attend every seminar that will enable me to exalt myself in order to get my breakthrough. I repent of my frugality and promise to sow a monthly $58 dollar seed even if it means the light bill doesn’t get paid or my kids go hungry. If I don’t have the $58 dollars, please help me to have enough faith in my faith to max out my credit card and give the man of God what he needs so other sinners like me can reach the next level.
In Mike Murdock’s name I pray.”
Please forgive me for my satire but I just can’t help it. It’s ridiculous to spend millions and millions of dollars “evangelizing” a country that’s already 98% Christian unless of course Marcus Lamb doesn’t consider Orthodox Christians “Christians”. IMHO this has more to do with making money then “evangelization” because what he promotes on his network is anything but Christian.
Yep, the circus is headed to town. Ringmaster Marcus Lamb and the rest of his traveling circus are about to learn most Greeks love Christ too much to ever fall for their “evangelism” and beat a very hasty, and hopefully financially costly retreat.

But understand this ,that in the last days there will come times ofdifficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. but they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.
