Bynum, Weeks and the Whites Should All Resign

What a week! The attack on Juanita Bynum-Weeks by her heretic husband, Bishop Thomas Weeks and the possible divorce of Bishop Randy and Paula White has created quite a stir within the Body of Christ. Blogs, including this one, are getting hits from all over the world and the numbers are mind boggling. Once again, I’m appealing to all four of these heretics to resign and repent immediately!

For those of you who’ve been vacationing on Mars, self proclaimed prophetess Juanita Bynum got beat up by her loser husband bishop Thomas Weeks in a hotel parking lot. Apparently, they met in an attempt to reconcile their differences but it went terribly wrong with Bynum headed to the hospital and Weeks on the lam. Weeks turned himself in to the police on Friday and is now being charged with assault and making terrorist threats yet claims a desire to continue his ministry and reconcile with his wife after all the mess is straightened out.

The Bible is pretty clear about the qualifications for a bishop. In case Weeks can’t find his bible I’ll place these qualifications below;

1Timothy 3:1-7 KJVThis is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;  One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;  (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)  Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.  Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Thomas Weeks has been married twice. He is not blameless. He does not display good behavior. He is a striker and a greedy man. Wife beaters generally don’t have a good report among non believers. This man has no business biblically calling himself a bishop yet still plans on continuing in ministry? Of course he does. Thomas Weeks doesn’t give a hoot about God or God’s Word.

I feel bad for Bynum. No woman deserves to be physically beaten by a man and my heart goes out to her. However, this woman is a prophetess for profit and a blaspheming heretic. This foul mouthed snake has no business speaking in the assembly. Paul has this to say about women speaking in the church;

1Corinthians 14:34-36 MKJV

Let your women be silent in the churches; for it is not permitted to them to speak, but to be in subjection, as the Law also says.  And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for a woman to speak in a church.  Or did the Word of God go out from you? Or did it reach only to you?

Bynum and Weeks are hypocrites. They hold big money conferences with the theme “show me how to love you” yet can’t keep their four year old marriage together? Weeks concludes an argument with his wife with a stomping?  Are you kidding me? These are people who clearly aren’t what they claim to be. These two blasphemers are only interested in making money and should resign!

It looks like the 18 year marriage of Randy and Paula White is nearing an end. They announced to their congregation their plans for divorce. This really comes as no surprise as the Ken and Barbie of the heretical world have been going in separate directions for the past few years.

Randy White is hardly a bishop and should stop claiming to be one. I still can’t believe he lied about his educational history when he had no reason to do so. This is his second failed marriage which eliminates him from Pastoral ministry yet he claims a desire to be a “great pastor”. The biblical guidelines for Pastoral ministry seem to have escaped him.

Paula White is a heretic. This is her second failed marriage.  Her doctrine is WAY off. She is all about the fame, fortune and the all mighty dollar. She has left one unbiblical position as senior pastor for another as “overseeing pastor” of a congregation in San Antonio Texas where her “spiritual son” Dustin Hawkins is pastor. Hawkins is the son of Bishop Rick Hawkins, a longtime ‘friend’ of precious Paula’s.

Nothing surprises me anymore with these clowns. These people are heretics and blasphemers who couldn’t care less about God or the Body of Christ. Their lives are in direct contradiction to the Word of God yet they still profess to be Christians. They all have abandoned the Word of God for the gospel of Greed. All four of these heretics should resign from their unbiblical positions and repent immediately.

In regards to heretics like Bynum, Weeks and the Whites, the apostle Paul exhorts us to do the following;

Romans 16:17-19 ESV

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. For your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil.

Run from these evil people as fast as you can. Sitting under these heretics will send you straight to hell.

  1. so sad so many peole have been brain warshed by these false teachers. There has to be more of an effort to educate the public about them beacuse they are the ones alo t of people new to Religaon are expossed to.So it breeds on itsself tell the mass public is so confussed. there should be more web sites put up
with information about Tv preachers and why they are false preachers and being part of there minstry well lead you to hell.
Anyone who trys to judge these phoneys is sut up by the mass amonut of peole saying that they are good peole and the church is under attack and we should pray for them,.
Pastors are getting lazy they need to come agisnt the false teachers in a more bold out spoken way.
The money grubers are out in full force and there is noone at the front lines to rebuke them sharply!

  2. It is also understood that Bynum while married to her first husband prophesied of her marriage to Weeks while he was still married to his first wife. I guess you do get what you ask for.

  3. yes, they both should resign, you see, God give his glory to no man, We put them up high, only to see them fall. when they do fall we point fingers.. Oh little christian, you done this.. everything that can be shaken will be shaken. He without sin cast the first stone, you forgot your past and now that you are so called sprit- filled, you forgot where you came from. we run after these leaders as thought they are God. We turn them into idol, yes thats right and when they fall you can’t handle the pressure, this is the end-time. they heap ttreasures for themself and use God name as a cop out. You need to , we need to go back to where this all started from. When one great leaders vouvhed for another leader how great he is, then the focus is one man and not God, You run to every event not taking the brother who need to be saved, thats too much. so you run to the conference and tell everyone how so and so preached and never used it, only for about a month then it dies. God want them to preach his world , not to prime it church out of money. Don’t make the who has less feel God won’t blessed them because they don’t have the funds as the next brother. This is only the beginning of what God is a bout to do with all these so call great leader.. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, God Bless you all………..

  4. I wish we would not judge others without knowing the whole story. The Apostles had a past and it was not all good. Paul had a past of killing Christians, but look at all he accomplished for the kingdom of God. God is in control of everything, and what the devil means for evil God will make good. None of us are perfect people and we all more than likely have skeletons in our closet. Jesus said let he that is without sin cast the first stone. Unless you have no sin in your life, you should simply keep quiet about matters you don’t fully understand. Keep your focus on Jesus and let God be God.

  5. the question i would like to ask is how can one judge another when they have faults also. You put your mouth on men and women of god like it a everyday thing. The bible says we all have faults and by the blood of jesus they are all forgiven. The bible also says touch not my annointed and do my prophets no harm i pray that job dont hold you accountable for the vaile words you speak against his children

  6. As to the comment on women Pastors. You have to keep in mind “Why” Paul or anybody said what they said in the Bible. And if you don’t know the Bible via the Holy Spirit you should choose your words carefully- Gods people perish for lack of knowledge.

An Epistle is a letter and Epistles were written in accordance to the problems at hand in the individual churches written to; they were warnings/report cards: If Paul stressed division, then that was the problem in that church (such as 1Corinth); if Paul stressed disobedience, then that was the issue; adultery, the issue; fornication, the issue, etc. Individual church issues; as we have today, so the scriptures do apply today in accordance to the same issues.

Point is, when Paul said let your women be silent in the church (1Tim 2:11-12), it was a matter of what was going on with a certain group. Therefore, the group that he was talking to was experiencing women doing more than the men were doing. This was “out of order.” At that time women were not used as they are now, because it wasn’t “time”: Ecclesiaste Ch3 states that for everything there is a time and a season. God works in seasons/progressively. It’s about order. It’s about setting the foundation. [We have now progressed into the season of “The Last Days” – Matthew 24.]

What’s going on in the church, this situation, and the widespread issue of fallen preachers, confirms the Bible. And it should also be a “wake-up” call!! Many churches have lost their focus, due to fame & fortune. That’s why it’s important to “stay humble” when the blessings start to come. And yes, God dose bless/prosper his children – what type of father would he be to leave them poor? However, many who started out on the “right path” lost their way because they focused on the blessings not the blessor/God.
When you lose focus, for whatever reason, the enemy can come in “like a snake” destoy: families, lives, relationships, etc. Jesus warned us of all of these things happening. We have natural disasters, collapsing bridges and mines, broken homes, wars and rumors of wars (more are coming), increase in violence, etc. It’s time to WAKE UP CHURCH!!

Point is: ANYone teaching or preaching and NOT doing it under the unction/power/anointing of the Holy Spirit is just a man or a woman – many men in the pulpit shouldn’t be there. When a “real preacher” teaches it’s not the man or woman we should focus on, it’s the “Spirit/God.” God can use men, women, and children. He even used an obedient ass in the old testament to give a word – It’s not the vessel used, it’s what’s behind the vessel – God. Paula is popular because God uses her A LOT, because she is “usable/faithful” to God and not man. He will continue to use her. Many will tell you that she/God in her has changed lives: given hope to the hopeless, fed the hungry, homes/orphanages for kid, restored sight to the blind, healed the brokenhearted, shed light in darkness, etc. God is not concerned in this day and age with gender. He just wants a “willing” vessel to “use,” male or female, and not many are usable. Paula is usable. She is a “true servant” of God.

God created man in His image, male and female He created them, Genesis 1.

  7. All I can say is that we must pray for our leadership, this is a sad, sad day for those who are called christians. I do agree that all parties should resign and allow themselves to be ministered to.

  8. I think that us as a christian community should not pass judgment but to lift these leaders up in prayer. The devil wants us to talk about their marital problems and we are all feeding into it. Lets stand up and be the body that God created us to be.

  9. You without Sin cast the first stone!!!!. Just because someone is a christian, prophetess, bishop…. what have you doesn’t make them less human. who are you to say that they should resign. Instead of passing judgement you should be praying for these people who desperately need your prayers. where would you be or what is your destiny without prayer. God knows that we blow it. I blow it on the day. but God doesn’t fire me or kick me out of his kingdom. Get to know who christ really is before you judge his people. Some people have Said that Jesus is a failure. BUt if you know the true God and the Truth you know that God Wins. Jesus Said ” I am the way, the Truth, and the life…noone comes unto the father but by me!” If you mess with Gods children you mess with God. think on that!!!!

  10. You know, it amazes me that some people, like the writer above, who obviously knows a few passages of the Bible which deals with the subject matter – “Rules for being a Bishop” appears to delight in the fact that a preacher has fallen. It also amazes me that the very person has taken judgement of these preachers into their hands knowing very well thet judgement is reserved for the Lord, for if these people sinned, they have only sinned against God and not man, especially not him/her; i am not sure if the name Trole belongs to a male or female.

You know what Trole, with people like you in the Body of Christ, we don’t need the Athiest, the ACLU, or any other oposing entity to bring down the Church, all we need is one hypocrite like yourself to do it. I am not even sure if you are a Christian, because if you were, you would be praying for their salvation instead of delighting in their stunble. I guess you don’t know the story of King David do you. If God is able to forgive a man like him and turn him around to be one of the greatest kings that ever lived, how much less Paula, and Thomas Weeks.

Tell me something Trole, how are things going in your life? how is your health, how is your familial relationships, how is your finances, and what kind of quality of life do you have now? I pray, for your sake that all the above questions were answered in the positive, because if the answers were all in the negaitive maybe you should be focusing on that instead of other people’s. I am sure you remember the parable Jesus gave about the” log in your eye”.

But, if you are not a Christian then the delight i read in your wrting about God’s children makes perfect sence. Anyway, I have better things to do now so I will end my comment here by wishing God’s blessing on you and the White and Bynum families.

  11. Wait a minute! Aren’t we warned of the lies we’ll be told in the end times, aren’t we told to discern all teachings, aren’t we told to beware of those who will call “Lord Lord!!!” Aren’t we warned of “wolves in sheep clothing” aren’t we warned of all these things yet we didn’t listen, we didnt’ pay attention, if you haven’t picked your Bible for a day, you’ve missed out on the most important thing, TRUTH, and the TRUTH sets us all free so you may say all you want, point fingers and judge…fact remains, all you say has been said before, and will be said again, but where do you stand, DO YOU KNOW THE TRUTH, DO YOU LIVE BY THE TRUTH….?

  12. I believe the bible teachs us not to judge any man, least a worse thing fall upon you! (look that up). What we have to remember is that they are still humans just like you and me. They make mistakes, and yes they will fall (harder because of the title they carry) but they are still God’s chosen one. Lets spend less time spreading rumors and gossip and more time praying and fasting for the 4 of them. Let their personal lives be that personal. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want man to judge me. God has a forgiving heart unlike some brotheren.

  13. I am quite shocked to hear that people I hold in high esteem and as role models are involved in fights and even contemplating divorce.
Someone should tell me what is going on.
I dont have an iota of doubt that Juanita and Paula are very passionate about Christ and our Heavenly father. It is the devil at work. What they need more that all these bashings are our prayers.I ask that Jesus Christ himself come to their rescue.(amen)

  14. I agree with Teresa. We call ourselves Christian’s yet we are so quick to judge a situation that we really know little about. God is the one and only Judge and until we can become perfect, blameless and never make a mistake I think we all need to take a step back and pray that God’s perfect will is in done in both of these situations and if they are not the people who they claim to be God will have His vengeance. Furthermore the bible teaches us to renew our mind daily, our spirit is renewed but our flesh is not therefore we are all one step away from either one of those situations and we need to remember that. God bless.

  16. I definetely agree with you two. We shouldn’t be pointing fingers we should praying for them. The enemy is at work right now, and he is starting at the head. The Weeks and the Whites, have definetely been used by God to reveal to truth. I feel closer to God, now more than ever. Its because of their obedience that they are being criticized. I love them both and may God be with them.

  17. Some of these so-called prophets, prophetess, bishops, etc should all resign, sell all they have and repent then follow the Lord JESUS with sincerity. Stay away from the lime light and follow the one who claims to be the way, truth, and the light.

  18. Whoever calls themselves a Christian, but will talk about their fellow brothers and sisters need to pray and ask God to forgive them. Making rude remarks about Juanita Bynum, Paula White or any other Christian is not god-like.

    James 4:11
Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.

    James 4:12
There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?

    James 5:9
Don’t grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

  19. Hallelujah! I have finally found someone who agrees with me about these people. We are so deparate to be loved or something that we just grab ahold to anything that makes us feel good for a moment. I agree that the Word of GOD is our instruction for how to life in this life and the next. Do these people not understand that they are responsible to encourage souls toward GOD. Not lead people to poverty. Paula White sickens me so that I cannot tolerate listening to her for one second. She does not talk about anything but money. And as to that Weeks’/Bynum fiasco – I just don’t know what to say. All of these so-called prophets of today are preaching about Prosperity. They better get it right and work on the Prosperity of their souls. How much of that money that they are swindling people out of are they going to be able to spend when they leave here? I didn’t know Jesus took cash, checks and credit cards. We better get it right, as time is getting away from us.

  20. The sheer hypocrisy of those who profess to be Christians is amazing!

What is this furore over the fact that we ask that these individuals obey God’s Word? So-called bishops who have been married twice and now divorcing a third time! And they are still holding offices as bishops?!

Do we study and uphold God’s Word any longer?

And two women who are so adept at getting money out of people’s pockets!? And we say we hold these in high esteem?

Finally, all these teach things that Jesus and Paul would respond in indignation against? I shudder to think what type of people claim to make up the Church in these last days.

We will hold them in high estemm if and after they have fulfilled the requirements – repentance and obedience to God’s Word. Until then, they do not have the esteem of any God-fearing person.

Just take a look: the divorce proceedings are not even through yet, and precious Paula already has made arrangements to move to pastor elsewhere. No remorse. No shame. No conviction. No repentance. It is an open and blatant display of bravado and self-will.

No one has judged anyone here in the sense some of the respondents claim. God’s Word prescribes certain consequences for certain categories of people. Wake up! Repent!! Open your eyes and ambrace the truth. Declare your allegiance to the Lord.

  21. At this point and time, I do believe if there is discourse within their lives and ministries, they should step down, just like Gonzales should, however, I don’t agree that just because ones life has been marred with hard times or bad decisions, they can’t at some point still be usfull to Gods Kingdom. After all, most, if not all of the people God elevated to use in HIS behalf according to the bible had a less than perfect past. God does forgive us 7 times 70, thus we must do the same.
I do not believe women can NOT be used for HIs work either. We have to take into consideration the times when this happened, when Paul spoke those words, and the culture and its moreys. The women of the time were not permitted to learn at the church or synagogues, however, God does tell them to go home and ask their husbands and inquire of them, so HE understood the times. Esther, Deborah, the woman who hid the scouts, to those who supported the apostles and the women whom HE told to go, “Tell of the good news of HIS resurrection,” and many more prove this. In current times Joyce Meyers is a good example.
As for Ms White, she kinda has always scared me a bit, I wish her well, but it cuts me to the core, and still does when I hear her and some of her guests attack those who are poor, as if that is where most wish to stay. I realize one must work hard in this life to attain and achieve anything, but what about those who are disabled and are limited in what they can do. Or those who are in poor countries who don’t even have water to drink or a place to live, or many who have personal demons they must first conquer before they can move foward, are they less than Christians even if they have submitted to HIS will ?? I say to you also, you can position yourself all you want, but if the person (or church) in front of or next to you is not paying attention to anything but their own needs, then His will can’t be accomplished for us, for just as we need God first in our lives in all things, we also need the help, encouragement, prayers, and strength of other fellow christians.
All I know, is we need to pray for all of the body of Christ, for the truth of the bible is coming to pass, even as we speak.
May God be with us all……

  22. One thing I know for sure is that hard times does not give anyone a way out. It’s one thing when theres a 3rd party, but to divorce because of problems is sad. As leaders and pastors yes we are not in the position to judge and yes we have to pray for them but to continue your ministry as if nothing ever happen is irresponsable and selfish. I believe because theres no 3rd party involved their trying to justify.

  23. Some of you don’t seem to know what the Word says about divorce and remarriage, esp. with respect to our church leaders. First of all, God hates divorce, and except for cases of adultery, it is really not allowed. And remarriage itself is considered adultery if it occurred after an unscriptural divorce. And don’t yell at me; here is God’s Word itself:

    Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

    Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

    Mark 10:11
He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her.

    Mark 10:12
And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”

    Luke 16:18
“Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

I Cor 7:10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

So since Juanita and her husband, and Paula and Randy and ALL on their second marriages, it is likely that they were all married unscripturally (unless they were the victims of adultery in their first marriages). So the second marriage breaks up, which is no surprise. Compound that with the fact that a pastor is supposed to be the husband of one wife (I Tim 3:2) (it doesn’t mention a female pastor, however), so as the blog author states, they should all resign.

  24. Whether it is wrong or right what these people have done in their personal lives, they have done great things in God’s name. Always for the good and have brought the powerful word of God to many. I believe that God loves them just the same as he did the prostitute, the taxcollecter, and every other sinner he has called. The whole point of him falling when he carried his Cross is to show us that if we fall to get back up and keep going. No one can sit here and judge and condemn. God our Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who can do that and he is Love and Mercy. The person who wrote this should really take the microscope off Juanita,Paula, and their husbands and do a self analysis. How perfect is your life? Have you never sinned? No one is perfect and I believe these great ministers who have done much self sacrifice to bring the word of God to so many people such as visiting those in prison, should be given compassion and understanding. Not criticism. The Cross is something very heavy to carry and in other terms its called Life. Not many will understand that, but I do believe Paula, Juanita and their husbands do.

  25. They all will be alright, people you must realize that this is America, all types, true and false. There will also be many comments with each one thinking that they have it. The times have changed but the Word of God will never change, people want to be told even by God, that the community is alright, things are going to get worse not better, I am sorry to say that. So All I can say is , You better have a personal realationship with God ,,,,,,Love You

  26. How can you call for Paula or Juanita to resign because they are going through common issues? God’s children go through test and trials just like sinners. We are not to judge others and instead of talking about them we should be praying for them. Regardless of our opinions, especially since we do not live with them God still does not like us putting our mouths on those He has annointed..Be careful of the stones you throw.

  27. We can not allow the devil to use this to destroy the character of what God intended marriage to be. We must remember that we are made of flesh with a spirit housed in it and as God’s word says the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. All marriages will suffer the trials of this world and many times the enemy comes back to see if he can stir up trouble and he just might bring some friends (Anger, bitterness, low self-esteem) just like what is said in the book of Matthew. Leaders are not exempt they are just like you and I, needed Jesus to save them too. So don’t put them in the place of God understand that they will fall just like you or I but it’s up to us to pray for them not gossip. Your words may bring destruction to your life so watch what you say and make sure you pray. They need our support right now and I thank God for what God is about to do in their lives to show how awesome God is even in the midst of trouble. There is an attack of the marriage union in this world a plan to make Gods foundation of Man and Woman look felonious to our next generation. Satan will stop at nothing to bring down marriage even go as low as to break up leaders marriages. WOW think about it he’s bold! My prayers are with you Man and Woman of God. Know that we have boldness in Christ Jesus. Agape

  28. We should make judgments which are based on the yardstick of righteousness as revealed in his Word, which look beyond mere appearance, and which are also made with the right spirit in heart. When Jesus said “Judge not, that you be not judged” (Matt.7:1), He immediately shows what kind of judgement he is speaking of there. He obviously cannot mean that we must never make any kind of judgement at all, otherwise we would not be able to fulfil the exhortations of the Word in numerous places, such as being told never to let anyone deceive us (please read Matt.24:4; Luke 21:8; 2 Thess.2:3; Eph.5:6; Colossians 2:8). If only God can judge, as you say, then how will we be able to fulfil the Apostle John’s command: “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1)? Far from being wrong, judgement is actually a vital part of the Christian armoury. Christ has put pastors and teachers into the church precisely to make judgements which will prevent people from being “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Eph.4:14). The judgement which the Lord Jesus forbids in Matt.7:1 (as the context very plainly shows) refers to a person who makes a judgement about another person when he himself is a practitioner of the very thing which he is judging in the other! That is hypocritical judgement, which is forbidden by Christ. But the kind of judgement which builds up God’s people by advising them of danger and outright falsehood is an absolute necessity. You can take this to the bank. Let’s pray for these individuals involved, for it is a horrible tragedy for the Church body in general.

  29. All these events are just a sign that the devil is on the loose. These are the last and evil days that we are living in. Thee enemy does’nt want to see God’s word come forth so he’s attacking these powerful vessels of God in an attempt to hinder BUT you CAN’T stop God’s word!!!!! Instead of talking about these minister’s of God why don’t you try praying for them. This is their test!!!! The bible says touch NOT thy anointed and do thy profits no harm. For all you who are slandering the names of these ministers who have clearly been called you WILL suffer the consequences. And may God have mercy on YOU!!!! I need to be blessed so I pray for them. I rebuke the enemy in my house as well as theirs. God has the last say so NOT the media!!

  30. To thr perfect person who started this website, you should be a shame of yourself. No man is blameles but the father. He without sin cast the first stone. Christ calls us to restore one another back to the father. Judge not ,or you should be judged by the same measure. no matter what the background.Where is the the Love Christ talks about in his word. Remember Christ died for them too. If Christ was walking on earth right now he would be reconciling them back to himself. Show Grace and Grace would be returned. Remember that.

  31. We need to pray for the broken and Hurt souls that have followed and looked up to these “leaders”. I can only hope and pray that God will heal and redirect their lives. Our relationship is to be with GOD; and our focus is to be on GOD, not the Whites, Bynum, Weeks or anyone else. I am grateful that God has revealed the hidden sin and deceitfulness.

  32. I agree with many of these replies, and I agree with Renee. We know what we are seeing, but it is God who is the judge and just like Renee says, if these people aren’t whom they claim to be, then God will have His way with them. Any one of us could be a heartbeat away from a situation like the white’s and the Bynum’s. However Jesus also said that you will know them by their fruits. We are to be fruit inspectors, but not judges. I believe their is a difference between the two.

  33. Where do we find in the bible where Jesus had three homes? He said, the son of man has no where the lay his head. How can we justify two homes worth almost 6 million dollars? Jesus told the rich young ruler go sell all you have and give it to the poor and come follow me. Not only are they not giving to the poor but are taking from them to fill their pockets. Jesus said come out form amoung them.

  34. What happened to accountability? It is amazing to me how many Christians think they just blindly follow. Don’t judge? How about 1 Corinthians 5………….Paul told them to excommunicate the man. Paul sure was unloving and intolerant. He told them to judge those that are in the church not those in the world.
He went on to say….with such a one don’t even eat. These leaders either repent or they are to be tossed from the fellowship. The bible tells us to judge… their fruits you shall know them.
    Don’t shoot the messenger.

  35. Where do we get spending time with the world. I see Paula W. with Donald T. and she is asking his advice. The only thing she shpuld be talking to him about is his lost soul. We saw Tammy B. on tv with a porn star. What does lite have to do with dark? There is more to the gospel than money. God will supply on my needs according to his riches in glory. He has never fail to supply my needs. We are not all going to be millionairs. Give to the work of the in the manner that he has ask of you and he will reward you as he sees fit.

  36. The bible tells us to judge another christisan he said His job isto judge the world and He also told us those committing sin to kick them out of the fellowship cause a little leaven will destroy come on saints dont compromise because you got a person on a pedestal stand on the word not itching ear stories ,,,,Marantha…(means come Lord Jesus

  37. This is my comment to everyone reading, whether you are a Christian or NOT – the Bible says these are the last days and if you read your Bible, Matt 24 alot of things are happening NOW and will continue to happen in the Body of Christ and in the World. We have to be in prayer for these vessels God used in the past. We must NOT put our trust in man only in God. The Lord is in control and knows exactly what he is doing in their lives. Man may be quick to judge who are we? We are all sinners, don’t cast the stone and hide the hand so quick.
Yes the Lord has used them and many have come to know the Lord by these vessels, but who do the people put their belief in man or GOD?
The enemy is working hard, his time is running out. The end is near, PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD AND LIFT UP BYNUM, WEEKS AND THE WHITES TO THE LORD AS THEY ARE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS.

  38. To all of you, who call yourselves CHRISTIANS. it’s pretty obvious you’re not reading the whole BIBLE just scriptures to support what you are saying and beleive only. first of all I like to say I do not, I repeat do not under any circumstances agree with anyone being beaten and stomped for any reason, just as I don’t agree with sin period, if you are claiming to be Christ like. Now there is a difference in practicing sin, and acting out in anger. My personal opinion I really don’t beleive Bishop Weeks went to meet his wife with the intentions on beating her, if Prophetis Bynum thought that she would’nt have met with him period. The sin here is acting out your anger, the bible says be angry but sin not, that’s in the bible for a reason Ephesians 4:26 & 27. If everyone would examine yourselves I positive you will find an area in your life or maybe several areas where you are not doing right or doing all you can, or being obedient to gods word fully. James 4:16 & 17 says But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil. verse 17,Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it, not, to him it is sin. If any of you enjoy reading psalms, David wrote the book of psalm, David slept with a married man and had her husband killed who could be any worse than that, God told David that he could’nt build him a temple because he had too much blood on his hand.
And then theres Peter cussing, fighting, bad temper Peter, And I’m sure if I did more research I would find even more examples. And then there is all of you with your bad attitudes and faults, But nobody stop reading the psalms or 1st or 2nd Peter. Of course we are going to be curious about what drove him to that, but at the same time if the LORD don’t reveal it to you then you obviously don’nt need to know. The best we can do is pray.

  39. So if I’m hearing correctly, churches should just accept its leaders’ indiscretions without question lest they be guilty of judging? So a man who commits a felony should be allowed to preach and teach as he sees fit without pause just as long as everyone is praying for him?

Being a mega-church leader sounds like the most secure career choice ever. Where can I sign up…

  40. I recently heard that Randy White is going to start a church in California, she’s going to stay in Florida, and the majority of the members of her church has no problem with it whatsoever. There is a big problem with this…but the Laodecian mentality overlooks the problem. The culture crept into the church, and is now standing up strong and bold and dares anyone to speak out against it. Learn this lesson, though, that as old testament Israel and first century Israel were judged for its whoredom and harlotry, “new testament” Israel, i.e. the church, will face judgment as well. Peter said it, “judgment must first begin at the house of God.”

  41. Next is world harvest church with it’s mega mess, discrimination is rampant in Parsl;ey ministry, african american american are fired for no reason claiming that they are an at will employer, you will be terminated if you ask for a wage increase or he will talk about it in the congregation.Every service this man talk about politics, the republicans and george Bush and incourages you to vote republican, you also have to becareful, he hates the success of Oprah,Bishop Jakes also Joel Osteen.he claims 12,000 members however only 1800 show up for two services. That ministry is loosing all its members to the local churches in Columbus, now that is a problem .the divorce rate is as high as the walls surrounding his court yard, when your inlaws choose not to worship with you you have a problem…ANOTHER MEGA CHURCH MEGA MESS.

  42. “Touch not my annointed”? Please! Annointed by whom – TBN? They are fallen like the rest of us. I will pray for them and everything, but who in their right mind would continue to follow these people’s teachings KNOWING that they have gone against the Word of God (see Scriptures I cited on 8/27 at 8:46 p.m.)?

Also, I remember reading that Juanita Bynum said a woman should keep herself pure with a man UNTIL THE SEVENTH DATE! What? The Bible says we’re to wait until marriage!

They are leaders, and ARE to be held to a higher standard. If you people want to continue to follow them, fine, but why on earth would you follow someone who clearly violates what God has said? If they compromise/justify and ignore His Word on marriage, divorce and remarriage, and about how His pastors are to be the spouse of only one, that’s enough of a violation right there! And there’s no doubt in my mind that they’d go against His Word in other areas as well.

  43. I take it everyone who has voiced a negative opinion of these people have perfect and sinless lives. May God have mercy on all of you who have put your mouths on these people of God. They may not be perfect but they still belong to HIM.

  44. The bible/Gods WORD tells us many things that we should and should NOT do, however, I’m pretty sure that ALL of us at one point or another, have broken a law, an ordinance, a commandment, or statute. Thats why we should NOT judge the heart of man, for only the ones involved and GOD truly know what and how they feel. We CAN however, dislike or even hate the sin, but not the sinner. We are not worthy of judging anyone as OUR very nature is sin filled and we are not capable of perfect judgement.
However, if those who have elevated themselves so high above others, with the help of some who believed in them ,rather than Gods Word become so engrossed in mire and uncertainty, then they should apologize, remove themselves, and find out what Gods will for them will be. He will determine their fate, not us. We can pray for them, and pray for ourselves as we seek leaders who bring us HIS WORD only, sans personal opinions which, undoubtedly will vary in as many ways as there are humans on the earth…His Way is the ONLY WAY…amen,,shalom and joy to all… :)))

  45. We must as Christians be doers of the Word and not only hearers. The Bible cautions us about judging others. Stop looking at your brother or your sister’s issues and ask God to cleanse and fix you. We all have issues and are in various states of being delivered. The moment we gave our lives to the Lord, we were not instantly perfected. Deliverance and sactification are a process that does not occur overnight. This al=pplies to all of us.

Trust God and watch him work. In all things God must be glorified!!! Even here, God will get the glory. By continually rehashing what has already occurred, the focus has been given to Satan who is at the root of all of this. Stop focusing on the person and the enemy of our souls that is driving these events. Pray, and pray some more!!

  46. Your comment about these human beings made in the image of God were both cold hearted and judgemental. Sure we have our faults but the way you have judged these people is as if you are God yourself. I would be very careful if I were you. We need to pray for these people and not be condemning. We need to face the truth but we also need to remember that we have all sinned and come short of His Glory! Our righteousnes is a filthy dirty rags. Let us pray for these people who are possibly greedy for money, abusing the word of God for their own personal motives and failed marriages. If their hearts have not been right and obviously beating your wife is a problem, then we need to pray for them to see the light. No need to bash!!! You are not perfect either. In the Love of Jesus, Tanya

  47. Everyone has an opinion!!!!! It amazes me that people can easily quote scriptures about the downfalls in others lives and overlooks scriptures that tells them not to judge people. You can sit and call people names and then use the Bible to back you up. Believe you me if you are verbally attacking someone God is not behind you not matter how much scripture you quote. Instead of talking about them and trying to put them to an open shame why don’t we be real Christians and pray for our brothers and sisters.

  48. study to show thyself approved unto God. People need to dilently study their bible. We cannot as christians continue to make excuses for bad behavior. If you read titus you will find the solution and answer for church leadership. As christians, our first allegiance is to Jesus as Lord. The power to live the Christian life comes from the Holy Spirit and only the Holy Spirit.
Learn the word, study, apply bible principles to your life, and do what you learn. Paul urged Titus to be a good example to those around him so others might see Titus’s good deeds and imitate him. If you want someone to act a certain way, be sure that you live that way yourself. Then you earn the right to be heard. We can’t really know the dept of our character until we see how we react under pressure. FINALLLY, A CHRISTIAN, EXCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY FOR HIS WRONGS, CONFESSES THEM, AND ASK GOD FOR FORGIVENESS. JESUS IS THE ANSWER.

  49. I know this is disappointing to a lot of children in Christ, but let’s let God take care of his men and women of God that has fallen. You have to realize that the devil is waiting for any opportunity to kill, steal and destroy men and women who preach the word of God. Jesus said to Peter “Simon, Simon Satan desires to sift you as wheat, but I have prayed for you that your strength faileth not. Peter was not perfect, he cursed, lied and denied Jesus 3 times. But Jesus forgave him; when Jesus was raised from the dead, he told Mary to go get my diciples and Peter, letting Peter know I still want to use you. Remember the difference between Juanita Bynum and any other preacher in the light is that their short comings are televised and yours are not. People of God have a little mercy, God can still raise them up and use them. It is God’s decision to set up or set down any of these preachers. Like David he fell with Bersheba and had her husband killed. He thought he got away with it, but God sent Nathan the prophet and spoke judgement over his life. Not saying that they are sitting on a high horses and feel no remorse but God has a way of dealing with his prophets. David repeated and was forgiven. God still called David a man after God’s own heart. WE FALL DOWN PUT WE GET UP. REPENTANCE IS ALL WE ARE ASKED TO DO AND GOD WILL THROW ALL SIN IN THE LAKE OF FORGIVENESS. REPENT: TO TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS. GOD BLESS

  50. I pray that God’s will will be done in these peoples live, and his everlasting mercy will continue to be with us. People, this is a time to pray for our nation and not to condem. I believe that the devil is definately at work here, but we should always remember that all power belongs to God. I say we pray for these people and ask God to heal our nation. God bless.

  52. If you are in unforgiveness, you can’t be blessed…that’s the word and the word stands forever and forever… walk in love always… you don’t know what the whole story is here… don’t assume the worst..but all things happen for the Good of the Lord.

“Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him.
For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
    You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off. (Psalm 139:1-2) Only God knows the truth about both of these situations. Bynum, Weeks & the Whites, they are human.

When your brother is overtaken in a fault ye that are spiritual restore him in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.(Galations6:1) We need to be in constant prayer for these our brothers & sisters in Christ.

We are in the last days and satan is destroying families because he knows that his destrucion is at hand.
The bible tells us,”Touch not my anointed and do my Prophets no harm.” Take your mouth and corrupt spirits off of God’s anointed. We that are strong should bear the infirmities of the weak.
I DO NOT condone nor uplift sin,but if God can forgive who are we not too also. The bible says,If we forgive men of their trepasses our heavenly Father will forgive us of our trepasses but if we forgive not men of their trepasses neither will God forgive us of our trepasses
God is our righteous judge and He will avenge our adversary speedily. To build your faith read:Luke 18:1-8 Psalm 35:1-2 Psalm46:1-11 Psalm70:1-5 Jonah2:1-10

YE THAT ARE WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE.You cant live in a glass house and throw stones

“Judge not, that ye be not judged” (Matthew 7:1)
In Matthew 7:3-5 Jesus tells a little parable to help us face up to our own sins, lest we blind ourselves so that we cannot see clearly to help others. A person with a two-by-four stuck in his own eye, cannot see clearly to try and remove a speck of dust from another person’s eye. The person with a major fault (a big piece of lumber in the eye), is in no position to try and correct an offender with some trivial defect (a tiny splinter in the eye). When we judge ourselves first, we become so aware of our own failings–that when we must judge others, we do it with moderation and compassion, not with self-righteous smugness and harsh severity.

    Galatians 6.1-10
    Sam Ford

    • I READ another story about a pastor who had fallen last night.
o You would think that if anyone was producing “fruit”, and not focused on the flesh, it would be a pastor. These are the guys who are supposed to have it all together.
o I’ll tell you a little secret…pastors are broken people too—who fail and fall.
    • I REACT to these guys is what scares me sometimes…
o disdain for them—not enough grace for them.
o pride that it’s not me—not enough grace for them
o Like a Pharisee Separate from culture/Law is guide to righteous
o Like a Sadducee: Adopt to culture and compromise/freedom to sin
    o Like Jesus: Truthfully loving

Last week we explained what happens to someone who is transformed. We don’t begin with moral reformation THAT is the result of heart transformation. I wish moral reformation was a guarantee…that change was permanent, that I never saw anyone fall. But this life is tough, temptation is brutal, and we still pretend we don’t need Jesus time and time again..

Paul gives some final instructions to this young church he planted years before he had to write this letter. He tells them to help each other. All of us believers are in this together. Unfortunately, Paul has to warn us about something we know too much about—spiritual pride. We must lend a hand to the fallen, and never forget from the places we were picked up from.

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression,
Are we overtaken by Sin or do we choose to sin…or both?
Paul doesn’t talk here about someone “caught in the act”, rather, about someone who is caught by sin. The word overtaken carries the idea of being surprised, so it is not a case of deliberate disobedience.

Isn’t that how sin works? I really don’t think that we wake up in the morning and say, hey I feel like lying today. Or, I hope to see someone at work that I can lust after today. It starts much more subtly…baby steps. We may not commit the sin with premeditation, but we fail to be on his guard or perhaps we knowingly flirt with a temptation because we think we can withstand it. I believe the latter is probably the most common. Our four favorite words are “I can handle it.” We may not speak them, but we think them then, when temptation comes, we fall.

    James 1.14
14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire xwhen it has conceived gives birth to sin, and ysin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

Temptation is tough. For those who don’t think so…those who think they, well, I am never tempted. That’s because you always give in. You don’t know what its like to stand strong. CS Lewis wrote…A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in.

Satan is described in scripture as a hungry roaring lion looking for someone to eat. Personally, I don’t think we give Satan or sin enough respect; not in terms of worship, but in terms of recognizing two things OUR WEAKNESS and SATAN’S OBJECTIVE. We have to be discerning because Satan will give you what you want if it in fact leads you away from Jesus. Most, but certainly not all, times he is not walking around with a “flashing sign” declaring here is temptation.

How to identify a legalist in one step or less…
Then, after we lose a battle we Satan, we have to fight another with the legalist. Nothing reveals the wickedness of legalism better than the way the legalists treat those who have sinned. Check out John 8.3-11:

3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4 they said to him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now d in the Law Moses commanded us eto stone such women. So what do you say?” 6 This they said fto test him, gthat they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground. 7 And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, h “Let him who is without sin among you ibe the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 And once more he bent down and wrote on the ground. 9 But when they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, j “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on ksin no more.”

The legalists did not really care for her. Jesus was not interested in destroying the woman but in helping her repent, and that should be the attitude of His followers toward other people, especially toward other believers.

Why don’t sinners like the church the way the liked Jesus?
Our first thought is to think that they don’t like it because they’re convicted. I wish that were true most of time. It is my guess that they don’t appreciate the church because the first thing they feel is some sort of righteous condemnation versus love. For some reason, we have a tendency to assume the position of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives and try to condemn people to repentance. Is that our responsibility? I know that I can “guilt” people into doing or feeling certain things, but do I really possess the power to “convict” people to repentance?

John MacArthur writes of a pastor who said, “I have often thought that if I ever fall into sin, I will pray that I don’t fall into the hands of those censorious, critical judges of the church. Let me fall into the hands of barkeepers, streetwalkers, or dope peddlers, because such church people would tear me apart with their long, wagging, gossipy tongues, cutting me to shreds.”

I think people don’t like how we treat each other. People often feel like their under a magnifying class from the “sin-blood hounds” in the church. Our natural response then is to put up some inauthentic façade and fake our way into the community. We never achieve any level of intimacy because we’re so scared of being destroyed by the righteous. That’s not a fear of the righteous, but of the self-righteous.

MAYBE WE SHOULD JUST BE MORE TOLERANT…how about more loving?

Is the church just too judgmental?
Before someone listening to this sermon thinks, yeah, finally a TOLERANT church. A church that doesn’t condemn, or judge, or dictate what is right or what is wrong “behavior”. We don’t, but we serve one who does.

Of course, that is not necessarily indicative of everyone in the church. There are those who are empathetic towards the weaknesses or mistakes of people. Unfortunately, in our world today, when God declares something WRONG, and we, in as gentlest of terms as possible, declare what GOD has already declared, we often are declared “judgmental”. They may even quote verses like:

Matthew 7.1 r “Judge not, that you be not judged.” People like to use passages like this to argue against judging which really amounts to a way for them to justify their sin. If they read any of the passages that Jesus or Paul talk about “not judging” he does not say DO NOT JUDGE, but he speaks out against the SELF-RIGHTEOUS type of judging. In fact, if you read the rest of the passage in Matthew 7…you will see that Jesus did in fact teach that judging is in fact right.

    Matthew 7.1-5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 sFor with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and twith the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but udo not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

THOSE WHO ARE STRONG NEED TO HELP THE WEAK…but not just feel better

What should I do? The “spiritual” should restore…and bear one another’s burdens
When you say those who are “spiritual”, it sounds so self-righteous. Immediately people are thinking…yeah…that is me. Who do I need to help? But Paul here is contrasting the two types of people here, those who are fleshly and those who are spiritual; those who love Jesus and those who love the world.

We who are strong…we have a responsibility to help, AND NOT JUST MAKE FEEL GOOD. Suspicious inquisitive behavior is in no way what is meant by “help” nor is it reflective of true or mature spirituality. This does not mean that we only “play nice” and never actually tell truths that in fact may be received as condemning. Do not mistake gentleness for weakness or lack of authority.

The most loving thing to do isn’t always the easiest thing to do. WE LOVE, we don’t just BE NICE or TOLERANT. We do bear one another’s burdens out of love which is a fulfillment of the Law of Christ. The legalist is not interested in bearing burdens. Instead, he adds to the burdens of others (Acts 15:10). The legalist is always harder on other people than he is on himself, but the Spirit-led Christian demands more of himself than he does of others that he might be able to help others.

    What can I fix?
And do not mistake restoring for the power to heal. Of course, we do not take responsibility to FIX THEM. The word for restore is used to describe the setting of broken bones and in the NT for mending fishing nets. I like the image of setting a bone because, ultimately, we are not capable of healing the bone—in fact, we’re not even capable of making it LESS PAINFUL. I don’t think we should put on the savior cape and try to repel all the “consequence bullets” they have brought upon themselves. Sometimes, those consequences are the best ways to heal.

Ultimately, we can help point the person in the right direction, we can encourage them, we can pray for them, but we cannot change them. We do encourage, and pray, and often times walk through a tough time with them. So, stop trying.

For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Have you forgotten who you are? The most common mistake we can make when lovingly correcting someone is to become prideful. We must always keep the GOSPEL in front of our eyes as a filter for our behavior. The GOSPEL tells us we are loved, but before that, it tells us that reason Jesus had to die at all is because we are depraved, broken, and helpless. We are all just as likely to fall.

Only you and God will know if you are looking at the weaknesses of another person for the purpose of COMPASSION or COMPARISON. We must learn to MAKE MUCH of GOD and make LITTLE of Ourselves. I like the John 3.30…a very simple verse that speaks a huge truth. John the Baptist speaks of Jesus…

“He must increase. I must decrease.”

4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load.
It is so easy for us to let the failing of others make our “successes” look that much better. Whenever some Christian pastor falls, do we recognize our own vulnerabilities or do our minds first go to a, “I’ll never, or I haven’t done that.” Just because, at the moment, your “work” looks better than Johnny whose life is in the gutter, doesn’t mean that you are in fact any more righteous. Ours is a life of repentance.

    2Cor 13.5
Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. vTest yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that wJesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

How do you test yourself…make a comparison worth making. Stop comparing yourself to fallen people and compare yourself to Jesus.

As for the burden here and earlier, there is no contradiction between Galatians 6:2 and 5, because two different Greek words for burden are used. In Galatians 6:2 it is a word meaning “a heavy burden,” while in Galatians 6:5 it describes “a soldier’s pack.” We should help each other bear the heavy burdens of life, but there are personal responsibilities that each man must bear for himself. “Each soldier must bear his own pack.”

We all need some help, but we all have our own responsibilities before God. If my car breaks down, my neighbor can help drive my children to school, but he cannot assume the responsibilities that only belong to me as their father. That is the difference. It is wrong for me to expect somebody else to be the father in our family; that is a burden (and a privilege) that I alone can bear.

    Romans 14.12
12 So then zeach of us will give an account of himself to God.

You will have no one to point to but yourself when you stand before the almighty. No more excuses like Adam. It will just be you. You cannot go to heaven on Mom’s faith, Dad’s faith, boyfriend’s faith…just you.

We get SO worried about what other people are doing sometimes that we fail to ever focus on what we are doing. We are more worried about other people’s sins, other people’s spiritual growth, other people’s giving, that our own faith is sadly ignored.

Here Paul is going to say, in essence, you can’t fake it. You either are a son of the flesh or a son of the Spirit and the proof is in the pudding. While we don’t work for God, what we do do will in fact give evidence to the nature of our faith. James says it quite clearly,

    James 2.14-18
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith obut does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 pIf a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 qand one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good2 is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith rapart from your works, and I will show you my faith sby my works.

Does God care about my money?
6 One who is taught the word must share all good things with the one who teaches.
Paul first talks about all of our resources because, well, let’s be honest these are the easiest things to not give up. WHAT or HOW MUCH you give is not some indicator of your spiritual health. We must remember that what we do with material things is an evidence of how we value spiritual things. “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matt. 6:21). This doesn’t mean we seek to live in poverty, walk around in rags, and never do anything “fun” because that’s just not spiritual enough. No. It probably looks different for everyone.

Giving can be glorifying to God. But God is not glorified simply by the act of giving. For the Jews and for the gentiles, giving voluntarily was a revolutionary concept. Jews were taxed for their support and Gentiles usually paid some sort of fees or vows for their religions. Just as Paul wrote all throughout this letter, don’t make giving a legalism.
    • God is not interested in your money and neither are we…
    • God is not interested in your “I’m sorry for sinning money” and neither are we… Psalm 49.7
    • God will not love you more if you give to the church
    • You have been freed of Men’s approval and God is not interested in “well, I’m supposed to give”

The bottom line is that God is not interested in your “things”, but what you do with your “things” shows how interested in God you are. Stinginess in our giving, financial or otherwise, is like mocking God. It certainly is a misunderstanding of the gospel to believe that to gain anything you must keep everything. That shows us our Savior GIVING UP EVERYTHING to die for sins he was not responsible for.

    2Cor 9.6-8
6 The point is this: vwhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has made up his mind, wnot reluctantly or under compulsion, for xGod loves a cheerful giver. 8 And yGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency7 in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.

God knows your heart and he sees what you do?
7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Although Paul is taking here about financial support to Christian works, there is really a larger issue that extends beyond money. God will not be mocked.

Those who are knowingly living in sin, those who have wasted all of their resources and time investing in the flesh…you will produce a harvest that will ultimately CORRUPT you AND the ONES YOU LOVE–if it hasn’t already. God punishes sin AND sin has destructive consequences. Perhaps you’ve avoided pain up until now. Just know that although God may defer his punishment for a season, he is not deceived, tricked, or unaware. He sees the heart. He sees you drink. He sees you lust. He sees you gossip. He sees your pride. He sees your anger. He sees your greed. He sees it all. .

I am blown away by people who pour their lives into the flesh then expect to harvest spiritual fruit.
    • Men love themselves more than the love their wives then wonder why she doesn’t want to be with him
    • Men lazily ignore spiritual leadership then sit dumbfounded their sons and daughters wander through the world like unprotected children in the middle of a battlefield
    • Women disrespect their husbands and can’t figure out why their men don’t lead
    • Women don’t give of themselves to their husbands fully and they wonder why they struggle so much with lust and pornography
    • Men and Women don’t give a penny to anyone else and wonder why we struggle financially
    • Men and women spend more time thinking about work then about playing legos or barbies and they wonder why their kids
    • Kids see it all and we wonder why they turn out.

The words apply to anything and everything.
6 The point is this: vwhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully

THAT IS THE HARVEST…what will yours look like?

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
DO NOT TIRE OF DOING THE RIGHT THING…because it is tiring. It is easy to give way to the flesh, it is tempting to believe that “you’ve arrived” after a week of reading your Bible and few temptations.

    1Timothy 4.6-12,17-19
6 Now there is great gain in bgodliness cwith contentment, 7 for dwe brought nothing into the world, and3 we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But eif we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But fthose who desire to be rich fall into temptation, ginto a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that hplunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of iall kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

11 But as for you, jO man of God, kflee these things. lPursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 mFight the good fight of the faith. nTake hold of the eternal life oto which you were called and about which you made pthe good confession in the presence of many witnesses…17 As for the rich in athis present age, charge them bnot to be haughty, nor cto set their hopes on dthe uncertainty of riches, but on God, ewho richly provides us with everything to enjoy. 18 They are to do good, fto be rich in good works, to be generous and gready to share, 19 thus hstoring up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may itake hold of jthat which is truly life.

Lastly, Paul reminds us to “do good to all men.” This is how we let our light shine and glorify our Father in heaven (Matt. 5:16). It is not only by words that we witness to the lost, but also by our works. In fact, our works pave the way for our verbal witness; they win us the right to be heard.
It is not a question of asking, “Does this person deserve my good works?” Did we deserve what God did for us in Christ?

  53. Both these situation sends a clear message that each of us needs to take our eyes off man and stay close to God. We also need to understand that what we do and how we live affect other people especially when we are in leadership. The bible clearly states to whom much is given much is required. Both couples have impacted tens of thousands of people in positive ways. So why don’t we understand they have the same ability/power to affect tens of thousands of people in a negative way. It is unfortunate what has happenend and we should pray but praying doesn’t mean it hasn’t affected anyone. We must admit this is not a positive thing which has occurred for those directly or indirectly involved.
Please draw close to God!!! He will never fail.

  54. The body of Christ needs to pray ferverently for ministers in the public eye. The attacks on them by the enemy are so great because their scope of influence is so wide.
Do not judge any man. Let every man work out ‘his own’ salvation with fear and trembling. Pray for God’s generals and the body of Christ. As we say in Nigeria mind your business if you were not under the bed!! Selah

  55. I believe when God shines the light on things taking place in the dark, the community of Faith should take notice. We should not sugar-coat the events happening in our community, but we should take heed and be warned lest we stumble ourselves. Our leaders are held to higher moral standards and while in the pulpit, rests their feet on holy ground. The ministers in question need to take a break and re-connect with their first LOVE…before the large ministry, before the demanding schedules, before the private airplanes and the huge love offerings. God still loves us even in our dark times, and as community of Faith members, we should show patience and love toward those in times of struggle. I still don’t believe that the ministers should grace a pulpit at this time. Your soul and right relationship with God should be your only concern. If the ministry was built by God, then He has a ram in the bush to position for the ministry’s continuance. If the ministry was built to only shine the spotlight on an individual, then it will crumble. My prayers go out to the many faithful members of the congregrations that are facing instability at this time. My prayers continue for the men and women of the community of Faith.

  56. Pray for them & watch out that your words don’t defile you or should I say (repent) for your words are a reflection of what’s in your heart as well. Mathew 12:36 says
35The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. 36But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 37For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

  57. Wow….. I am so deeply sadden that this has happened in the body of christ.. These matters are to be handled within the body and not before unbelievers… where is the love that covers a multitude of sin… I dont know who the writter is.. but upon reading what he wrote I sensed anger, hate, a certain gladness.. as he spoiled the people of God.. It appears to me that he has the letter of the word and not the spirit or he would not be talking this way..He has degraded Bishop Weeks tottaly as a man.. let alone a man of God.. and he has disanulled the Anoiting that everybody has seen Bynum operate in.. That writter has no clue himself who Jesus is, how loving and forgiving God is.. judgement belongs to God and God alone.. for he is the only one who knows the real deal.. what really went down and what caused what..and he knows the broken and contrite spirit that these individuals are probally operating in right now.. and He will not despise it.. as a body of belivers we are to wrap ourselves around them with the word of God.. with loving kindness has he drawen them.. Everything happens for purpose and reason… these individuals now need to re-evauluate their purpose and humble themselves befroe the body of Christ and recieve the healing that is needed for their souls..This is to the Weeks (Bynum/Weeks) You cannot be sucessful in the kind of classes you were trying to teach without having experienced some, if not all of heart goes out to you both..and you are in my prayers

As for the Whites.. Im not sure what to say except.. dont let the fact that you have been in the Body for so long… that you have become comfortable enough to think that God will look the other way while you do something that is in direct Violation of His word.. You are both icons of His word.. do not bring this open shame to the Body…what you are saying is Gods power is not strong enough to fix our marriage, or worse yet we dont trust Him to fix our marriage and I know thats not what you want to convey to a dying world.. if you have lost the flavor of your marraige and love fo each other then fight to get it back… dont lose the years that God has allowed you to accumilate it is your Heritage… come out of the pulpit and re-dedicate yourselves to God and each other.. allow God too re-store and heal you both.. YOU CANNOT BE IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF GODS WORD AND TEACH IT. What would be the message( do as I say not as I do)? God will not honor that nor accept it.. and I know you both love the Lord and want to do His will.. He did not bring you this far to leave you.. reach out and touch the Lord as he goes by.. but dont let him pass you by..

This is with much love for the people of God
    Peace be unto you..

  58. We need to pray for Paula, Randy, Juanita and Thomas and let God be God. He knows our hearts and intentions and will be our only Judge on Judgment Day.

  59. This is really a sad time for people of God, as said before, we must continue to keep our eyes on God and pray dialy. The Lord allows things to happen for a reason and we don’t always know the reason. We do know that God does not want us to judge anybody, so lets not lose sight of who we are as children of God and continue to do what we can to encourage each others and those that are seeking God.
    God bless us all

  60. Being a beleiver in Christ and God’s word – I do agree that the Word should be the measure of our daily lives. By it, we can see what should and should not be. And yes, we all have to be held accountable. What I do know for sure is that we can only be accountable for our own individual actions. So, my husband walking out on me and deciding to divorce against my will does not mean that I love God any less. Nor does me getting beaten by my husband make me any less of a woman of God. Be careful what you say. In any case, holding an office in the church and/or just being part of the church of Christ does not exempt you from issues, problems and attacks of the enemy. Some you win and some . . . flesh ends up winning – – tricks and traps of the enemy. I’d say to people who don’t believe – – don’t be confused, don’t get discouraged, everyone has issues and problems and we ALL have to go the cross – – period. The mistakes of people doesn’t make Jesus Christ any less of a savior. As a matter of fact, it shows how much we ALL really need Him more than ever before. No man can save himself! For believers – we must pray and hold each other up. Pray for our leaders in the church and in every office in the world! If there ever was a time to be real and to NOT play with God, it is now. The world is watching and IF we do anything that would cause someone else to stumble or not come to Christ, that blood is on our hands. In love, Wendy

  61. We have to remember we are all human which makes none of us exempt from sin. At this time we should be praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ instead of putting them down. How many Christians do you know who are divorced? It’s not right, but we serve a forgiving God who allows divorce under some circumstances. We don’t know the circumstances of the Weeks or the Whites. Stop judging. None of us are without sin. Our sin may not be the same as thier’s but we all sin.

  62. I totally agree!!! So many christians hold these other christians in such high regard w/ out looking at how some of these ” leaders” are living their lives behind the scenes….it’s true that we can all fall prey to anything; however, if these individuals were really concerned with representing the Lord well, they would honestly step aside for the sake of the gospel of Christ. I realize that when an individual is in such a high position, its hard to lay aside the pride and do whats best for the greater good. To those christians who say ” don’t judge” I’d like to say that realizing someone is not living a life that’s worhty of his/her calling is not judging, it’s simply telling the truth…..these folks have set a terrible example for the body of Christ and they should really step down, get counseling and allow the Lord to show them the error of their ways…..I’m not saying that the Lord can’t use them…I’m simply saying that there needs to be some serious accountability in their lives. Until they’re willing to humble themselves, their pride will continue to be their downfall.

  63. Well, I hate to admit it but I think Paula is extremely hot and I watch her mostly because of this….sorry (has she had an augmentation?) For this reason alone, myself and millions of others of other young men from around the world who cant stop staring at her chest….she should resign.

  64. He who is without sin let him cast the first stone. How quickly we forget what it is like to stumble and fall sooo short of the glory of God. What makes these people any different, because they are in the lime light. How sad. My heart is broken for all of them. I do, however think that they absolutely should have taken time away fom all of their ministries to refocus in what the Lord would have had them do and maybe this blo would have not been written. If there is anything to be learned here it is how to RUn to the Lord when you are in trouble and when you lean on your own understanding look at what can happen to you. We should be lifting our sisters and brothers in Christ up not tearing them down. I remember where I was when the blood found me, do you? And I rememeber what I have done since I have been washed in the blood, do you? How dare we put our selves up to judge them. May God have mercy on all of us.

  65. IT WAS RUMORED…that he was being confronted by juanita about “down low”….the first thing people say is “dont judge” but wrong is just wrong, and when you see the light walk there in. this probably wasnt the first time he hit her, IT IS PRAYING TIME!! LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

  66. It’s nice that everyone here is so compassionate, and is quick to find Scriptures that we are not to judge. Yet you clearly give these people permission to go against God’s very specific words regarding divorce and church leadership. What else in the Bible do you ignore or set aside?

Obviously, we are all sinners, and as a divorced woman myself, I know I could not be in church leadership, BECAUSE I BELIEVE WHAT GOD SAID! Why do you not hold these people accountable to what God has asked?

I can’t believe I have posted here three times on this subject. But I just can’t see how your loyalty to these people has you going clearly against the Word of God, and the Scriptures the blog author has so clearly cited for us.

Ted Haggard did the right thing by removing himself immediately, and stating that he would NEVER serve in a church capacity again. Why should these others not do the same?

  67. Look at the sort of people that Paula is hanging out with…..a father and son team in San Antonio who both had affairs and both divorced at the same time! Does anything else really need to be said here? Are people that niave that they cant see what this is? I mean. how ludicrous that a televangilist will come on tv and tell you to give to her and then in the next show, ask you to buy vitamins from her….sheesh, this is truly the dumbest country on the planet. These people are money raking snake oil merchants who prey on the niave, poor, stupid masses. We, my fellow americans are guilty as hell for creating these abominations, and we get what we diserve.

  68. Missy,
People are “blindly loyal” because they have bought into the lie of “prosperity teaching” such as PW’s mantra of “you can have it all”. Yet Christ clearly taught that you can not have it all. Once you begin sitting under the “ministry” of these “peddlers of prosperity” you will be sucked in. Jude warned us about these false teachers when he said that they would, “flatter you to gain an advantage”. God has truly “left the building” for these so called ministries, yet we the dumb masses have been soaked in worldly oppinion and definition of success for so long, that we have lost the ability to distinguish between right/wrong and good/evil. We should absolutely not judge these people, but Jesus warned us to look out for them and to look at their fruit, thats what I hope I am doing. I am guarding my heart and my family from these wolves. Those of you who are so hopelessly under a spirit of deception, I pray that the scales would fall from your eyes. You need to pity them, yes, but you also need to tune them out, turn them off and stop the flow of finances to their coffers. As long as the sheeple continue to create a market for these peddlers of perversion, they will stay in power. Alas, me thinks that not only shall “we have the poor always with us” but the stupid and the niave. Very sad indeed. Christ weeps over his church today, His poor, niave, stupid church. Come Lord Jesus come quickly.

  70. Anyone who’s ministry becomes bigger than the institution God formed(marriage)really has no ministry at all. It all becomes self worship wanting more and more and soon God is no where to be seen. We can justify it all we want and continue to follow them but God won’t be in it. If you say there was no infidelity and you just feel like getting a divorce b/c your lives are going in different directions than how in the world will you be able to teach me about staying in the obedience of God’s will and how to stay committed and love as I’m supposed to love and honor my spouse and becoming one with them. Yes it says not to judge but it becomes more than that when you have the most influentual people in Christiandom saying it’s ok, just do as you feel. Why not think about what this does to the church body or to people looking in. This turns people away and it shows the world we aren’t any different from them. It clearly says “Be in this world but not of this world.” How are we any different when we justify this foolishness? They need to be sat down. Everybody. Randy, Paula, Thomas and Juanita b/c they’re turning people away from God rather than to Him. Yes pray for them but not that their ministries will stay in tack and will move on effectively but that the scales will be removed from their eyes and they will see they’re doing more harm than good for the Lord and his body. Wake Up People!!! Satan is busier than we are. PRAY!!! PRAY!!! PRAY!!! For this will be the only way people are going to be able to stand for what’s right.

  71. Please keep all sisters and brothers in Christ around the world in your daily prayers.

My comment is simple…no time trying to impress.

I think of David and Saul. God annointed Saul to be king. Saul decided to do things his way instead of God’s way.

David respected Saul inspite of Saul’s shortcomings and vowed not to come against God’s annointed one. Even when David had the prime opportunity to take Saul out…he did not…for David recognized and respected the call on Saul’s life.

Think people…God annoints whoever He desires. We can walk within that power or we can decide to walk apart from it. The point is this…regardless of our choice…God decision has been made. Saul was annointed by God and David recognized that.

I was raised to shut my mouth when it comes to ministers. My mother always said, “Do not slander God’s annointed one, regardless of their life choices.”

I look as these men and women as warriors shot down. Stop talking about it and begin praying about it! For it is only by God’s grace that it is not you and I.

  72. I am sure these marriages were in trouble for quite a while. However, minsters often fool themselves into not recognizing th problem or they are to embarassed toseek help. Perhaps these
unfortunant events will encourage Pastors who see warning signs intheirmarriages to seek help
    befor eit is to late.

  73. I agree that these people need to remove themselves from prominent positions. I do not agree that telling them to resign is the same as condemning them. Remaining in their positions will be setting a very bad standard for leadership in the body of Christ.

But I also believe that they are God’s children who have made mistakes and allowed the devil to attack them. I hope we will all pray for them and that they will repent from their ways and continue to serve God. With true repentance, I’m sure God will forgive and continue to use them in other ways.

  74. Its so sad to read this article without mercy, grace or forgiveness. Scripture being quoted but not balanced with scripture throughout the Word of God.. I just read alot of dark demonic religious spirit or pharosy type stuff. The God of Love is also a forgiving God who does indeed want to financially bless and physically bless His people. Ester, Debra and many other woman were prophets and judges.. You are misquoting and dont have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. Like Jesus would say, “Let him without sin, cast the first stone.” “the messure you have met I pray is not met back upon you and your wrong unloving judgments…

Phil You ask me not to judge, yet you judge my motives and even my salvation. These people have done nothing to me so they certainly don’t need my forgiveness. They should be asking forgiveness from all the people they have deceived which to my knowledge they haven’t.

  75. Clearly, some of you have lost the fear of God. God says what He means and means what He says. God says, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. Also, it’s because of God’s grace why we are not consumed. For those of you who have spoken negatively against these individuals, be very careful, because God judges the heart while man judges the outside. Look at all of God’s disciples, all of them had a messed up pass, but God turned their mess into their message. God and the body of Christ is not agreeing with what has been done in the lives of these people; however, God wants us to forgive and restore them in meekness. We are forgetting that these people are in the front of the battle, and they will come under attack more than anyone else, but instead of passing judgments and telling them to resign, we all need to pray. They will have to stand before God and be judged for their conduct, and that’s why the Bible tells us to put our trust in God and not in man. Take your eyes off the individuals and look to the hills from whence cometh our help. All of us has sinned and come short of the glory of God. We are all guilty of sin because God commands us to pray for those in authority and in government, but we don’t and when they fall we are right there to destroy what’s left of their lives. In closing, for all those who wants these people to resign I have one question for you, did you hire them? Though we fall we shall not be utterly cast down, and that’s why Jesus fell with the cross to show that we will fall, but we must get back up and try again. If God was like man, all of us would be dead and go to hell already because we have probably sinned worse than these people but we didn’t get caught and that’s why we can be so bold to speak against God’s servants. Be ye careful, because these people might have prayed and received forgiveness from God, and if they begin to cry out to God for the things that we are saying about them the same God will rain judgment on us. We really do not want to be an adversary to God.

For those of you who are quick to quote scriptures, are you all living and abiding by them? Also, the scriptures are designed for specific times and seasons, but if you don’t read the word and ask God for revelation knowledge, then you read and interpret the word of God in ignorance. Before quoting scriptures, ask God to reveal exactly what the scriptures mean and stop misinterpreting the scriptures. What the enemy meant for bad God has a way of turning it around for good. Leave God’s people alone, and remember if you can’t say good don’t say bad because life is a cycle and what goes around comes around. Today is my disgrace and tomorrow might be yours, don’t be so quick to pass judgment and right people off, because God knows how to restore his people. If you have never been through a storm, how can you tell me how to survive a storm. The most powerful men and women of the gospel has been through some stuff, but God uses the this of the foolish to confound the wise. We are in the last days, and we all better get right or get left behind, because we will all stand at the judgment bar, and the very people that we are cutting down will make it into Heaven and some of us will end up in a devils hell. Think on that! The Bible says when we see these things we should look up because redemption draweth nigh. We are here cutting these people down because of these mistakes, but what if God should come now, where would you spend eternity. Stop being a hypocrite and pick the bean out of your own eyes before you can see the pick the moth out of thine brothers eyes. We are not asking the believers to condone what they have done, because it is wrong, but we are asked to forgive because if we don’t forgive each other, then God will not forgive us of our sins. God also promises to throw our sins in the sea of forgetfullness when we repent. Some of us that are quick to pass judgments it’s only a matter of time before our hidden secrets get revealed because everything that is done in darkness will be brought to the light. NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED TO PRAY. If Juanita and Paula can be exposed to such issues in their marriage, how safe is your relationship? Whatever is true, whatever is pure and noble, think on these things. All of us need to repent, because we were all born in sin and shaped in iniquity. May God have mercy on us all!! We all need Jesus.

  76. If these people love JESUS, and are truly what they have claimed to be, they should first and foremost submit them selves to Higher pastoral Authority, for counselling , meanwhile before this time they should in Humility resign so as not to continually bring the gospel and name of christ jesus to continued disrepute. They need to really seek Higher pastoral Authority to enable them gain better direction for their battered lives, it is pertinenet to note that, in the light of bible truth, they arent role models and are not really qualified to hold the lofty offices the hold, Bishop, Prophetess, pastor , etc.
They can seek Audience With Oral Roberts, or his Son, & should they feel they dont want these men, they can come all the way over to Nigeria and see my Pastor & father in the Lord, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, he can give them counsel and tell them what he heard from God, because he will put his ears on the breast of our heavenly father and give them a word.
However we all will need to continually take heed lest we fall, may the good lord guide and see us through these perilous times.

  77. I don’t think this should be a forum for animosity within the body. We have some recent events that have made their way to the bright lights of the mainstream media, but don’t be deceived…things just like this are occurring on smaller scales all throughout the Faith community. We should keep our eyes on the author and finisher of our faith and pray for the strength of our leaders and brethren. I still believe, just as any other professional that is responsible for the lives of others, when personal events in your life are overwhelming and will take away from your effectiveness or your judgement may be challenged, you need to step away. Get out of the pulpit and take care of yourself and your family first!

  78. What has grown past ‘sad’, directly to pathetic, is the amount of folks making comments, who have made it quite apparent that, they either don’t study the Scriptures for themselves, or have had them taught to them by the likes of the same false teachers that God is throwing down. Yes, God is throwing them down.

Forget the fact that the Bynum-Weeks and the Whites were teaching false doctrine at the gate, now that the Lord has also revealed their course in life, that which, mind you, is unlike any of his teachings, we yet have these mealie-mouthed folks who come up, speaking ‘churchanese’ having no clue of what they say. These are they who exalt man over the Word of God. There’s no true empathy in their hearts, other than the fact that they relate in the ‘living nothing’ quadrant of their own lives.

It is an ease for them to give the ‘devil’ credit for all that is not right concerning these culprits, because they use the ‘devil’ in defining their own shortcomings of not fully submitting themselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Make no mistake about it, the Holy Spirit is not slack concerning His work in the hearts and minds of those who believe. Yes, we have trials, we fall short, and all the other cute cliches lip-servers like to use; but, never forget that, we also have a Mediator in Christ Jesus, that, when we confess our sins, He is able to forgive them and cleanse us. A repentant heart, however, is not going to go back and do the same things, over and over again.

Most of these naysayers are not Christians; at best they are Agnostic; and, at worst, Atheist. I say this with a clear mind, because I remember the days that I lived with Jesus no closer to me than on my lips. I remember throwing out the ‘Oprah’ and ‘Dr. Phil’ philosophies, and thought I was doing the Lord a favor. Either you are for Christ, or you are against Him. Either you hold fast to His teachings, or you live by the precepts of man. Either you love His commands, or you hate them and have gone your own way.

There’s nothing in the Scriptures that says, of God’s Word, “change these as you see fit”; or, “change them if you’d rather hear smooth things that keep you in the bondage of your sins”. We ARE the Lord’s church, in and out of the building we have erected for worship, and we are to have no other gods before Him. Honoring Juanita and Thomas in their rejection of clear Scripture, is placing others before God.

To the mindless person who wanted to use King Saul as an example. Saul was a King of Israel, not a priest. David didn’t touch him because the Lord appointed him, and the Lord shot him down. Every believer is anointed, so I don’t get the correlation here.

To the other mindless person who wanted to use the Apostle Paul as an example. Paul was converted, which is more than I can say for most of the false teachers that are pumping the world full of smooth sounding rhetoric. Paul didn’t love the world, or the things in the world. Paul didn’t preach a doctrine of devils, nor did he live contrary to that which he taught.

Phil: This is a great post. Thank you for helping to bring clarity to this situation. I couldn’t agree with you more.

  79. Jesus said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone…why look at the speck in your brother’s eye when there is a board in your own” Additionally, “ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” It is always the responsibility as a Christian to lift a brother up…not help tear him apart. Christianity, based on the word of God, the Bible, always admonishes us to “build one another up” not help tear each other apart. Jesus was our example…he loved all no matter what they did…and “they” did plenty in His day… and he forgives us if we just ask and turn away from our sin. No one operates in love (God…He IS love) when they are seeking to help tear down another…this is not what Christianity is about. Let us all cease with the tearing down of these two people and, instead, spend the time sending them a note of encouragement to get back on track or to say a prayer to the God who can “cause ALL things to work for our good”.

  80. It is an unfortunate sitution with the Whites and Bynum-Weeks. We all must realize that we all no matter what our titles are human. We all have flaws. Instead of judging them, we should pray for them. The same judgment you judge, you will also be judged. No one is better than the next man/woman, some just make better choices. God is a good God and He is the one and only true judge. Before you as Christians say how wrong these people are and what they should and should not do, look at your own life because we all have something in our lives that needs to be taken care of. No sin is bigger or worse than the next. It is time to get real. PRAY FOR THESE PEOPLE and YOURSELF

  82. The Weeks and Whites issues is not why my attendance is lacking. The comments like these here when people fall is the reason why.

  83. Very well put Robin. You took the words right out of my mouth. Lisa, please tell me what the TRUTH is since you seem to have figured it out; and for the woman who said because she has been divorced she can not take a leadership role in a church, I say please think it over. You do not know what power and talent God has birthed within you and it seems the devil has figured out the very bible verse to keep that God’s gift stiffled.

Not having the passion for leadership in the church is one thing, but supressing your passion for leadership in the church because of divorce is very unfortunate to you and to those that could be brought to the Kingdon of God through you; remember the devil knows God and his workd (the bible) better than any man so don’t let him outsmart you. He know just what verse to quote you in order to stiffle your fullest potential. Lady, don’t just gloss over what I just wrote; I don’t know why I zoned in on your comments out of the 76 plus comments posted on this site.

Ok, moving on; look, brothers and sisters in Christ, nothing that is hapening in these people’s lives takes away from what they have taught and still teach at the pulpit.

The devil is counting on people like some of the contributers to this forum to bring down the White family and the Weeks family. Remember, their sucess is a direct threat to his (the devil’s) work and plans. The more successfull they are, the more people the devil looses and the less successfull they become the more the devil gains. Ask yourself this question; WHO STAND TO GAIN THE MOST FROM THESE PEOPLE’S FALL? Certainly not the body of Christ. People, please THINK!

Remember, the devil does not go after the already fallen, for they are already in his camp, he only gains ground when the saved fall, and bigger is the ground the devil gains when the leaderS in his enemy’s (God’s) camp fall because with one fall, it can cause a thousand, maybe ten thousand to loose their faith and fall, epecially new Christians.

Also, for the harsh critics out there, remember one thing, if your faith is shaken or lost due to the “fall” of a few leaders in the church, then I have news for you… you have been worshiping the preacher and not God all this time. Because despite their “fall”, I dare you to state ONE thing they said while at the pulpit that was wrong or a lie or tell me ONE time any leader of any Church called themselves perfect or without sin. Infact, they are usually the first to tell you they are very flawed and still need a lot of work. They were not born preachers or saints; remember that.

Too often we elevate our preacher to such high esteem that we loose sight of the fact that they are human beings just like us and yes.

  84. What is most shocking is the fact that so many people who have commented on this matter here and elsewhere actually regard the Whites and Weeks as “true ministers” and as “suceessful”. Shocking. Sad. We live in a very undiscerning generation.

But that is Scriptures being fulfilled.

  85. Bingo, Yomi, thats just it. We buy into it because We want it for oursleves, (unbridled success) ,to get out of the ruts we are in. But indeed, the Word states, the poor you will ALWAYS have among you, which means to me not everyone can or will be rich. In light of that, we are all responsible for whom we elevate, and the ones preaching are aslo responsible for what they preach. Read Ezekiel chpts. 13-15.
Again I say, if it sounds too good to be true, if it smells fishy, or if it’s plain silly, back away and take a second look at who, what, and why. It is our responsiblity to recongnize false teachings and to exhort them who are. That does not mean we are judging. Only He does that. WE have all broken an ordinance, a statute, a commandment, or a law at some point, thats a given. But we must be aware of the false ones and keep our eyes peeled. And once again, just because we have been married before or have sinned in any other fashion, does not mean we can’t still be used by God, as the bible clearly shows. Paul was a murderer, so was David and an adulterer, Samson, Moses all broke His law and still were used. Esther had to give herself to a heathen and was a conbubine, and still, the Lord used her. Lets not set ourselves below the limits God can elevate us to. There is only one unforgivable sin, to deny the Holy Spirit continuously.

  86. To All My Brothers and Sisters,

We really need to be careful about what we say towards/about these children of God. They are his children just like we are. We don’t have a right to judge anyone. Instead of focusing in on them & this issue, we should be lifting them up and praying for them. That is how you are suppose to deal with it. How many times were we suppose to do right/or how many times have we disobeyed God. Inspite of us, our disobedience, etc, he has remained faithful, forgiving, merciful and gracious. If god judged us like people, my God we would have no existance. Thank God that he is not like man. God has not called us to judge and most certainly has not asked our opinions. Hey we would be offended, etc, if we weren’t listening and endulging into this situation. We are one step/sin away from falling ourselves. This why we have to pray, stay before God & crucify the flesh on daily basis. God is love and our main focus should be mirroring him. We are suppose to be striving to be like christ. He says in his word, how can you say you love me, whom you have never seen but you hate your brother you see everyday. Hate can be defined in many ways.We can hate someone one with words. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Let us speak life over our brother and sister & let God handle it. There is a famous saying that I love. It goes, when it is in your home, it is a matter of prayer. When it is in someone else home, it is a matter of gossip! My word is this so true, especially among christians/church. Only God knows exactly what happened we weren’t there, so we can’t say a word. Even if were there & somebody was at fault…..Galations 5:22-26 says: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekeness, temperance; against there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Finally, Galations 6:1-7
Brethern, if a man be overtaken ina fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness;considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

    Sis In Christ

When we stand before God, he will not be asking us, about them or anyone else, but he will ask us about us & the lifestyle that we lived.

  87. As christians, we should have discernment. Years ago I could tell that Juanita and her husband were phonies. Here is a woman who changes her hairstyle constantly, dabbles in plastic surgery…..hello. As for him, everytime I saw him, I saw a snake. Paula White in her earlier years was really hitting the mark in her sermons, but a couple of years ago, I noticed a change. She became too wordly and for a woman her age, it is amazing that she looks so youthful. Is it just me, or do her eyes look more asian these days.

  88. Regardless of how many came to hear them preach or gave to their ministries they are but men. Our eyes must remain on God and our efforts in fufillment of the call. Many have been been added to the Kingdom thru the efforts of these people dispite thier shortcommmings and failings. Lest you have done more for the Kingdom you should have nothing to say.

  89. Dear sis Jamila,
You have just proven and dis-proven your own point “0o”….They,( those whom are in question), and not just any run of the mill folks, they are claiming to have sole understanding about something they obviously do not and spreading false words to many who are vulnerable. Again, read Ezekiel chpts 13-15. No one is judging, that is Gods job, but when someone is trying to sell me ocean front poperty in Arizona, you better know I am gonna tell others about it so that they can be forewarned. ……………..

  90. The most amazing thing about these blogs is that so many Christians know only one or two Scriptures about any given subject. Case in point are the many references to “Thou shalt not judge…” If any of these people took the time to read their Bible, in its entirety, they would understand “judgment.” Of course we are not allowed to stand in the judgment seat of Christ and pronounce judgment (that is a final sentence) upon someone else! We are not Jesus Christ. However, “judgment” also means the ability to judge (discern) between good and evil. That is why God said, in the Old Testament, that He would “give judgment to the Gentiles.” (The ability to know right from wrong.) To offer just one Scripture (since that seems to be all we base our theologies on these days), try Isaiah 59:14: “And judgment is turned away backward…….v. 15: “And the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment.” Somewhere along the line, people have been deceived into believing that we are not to “judge” (discern) what is good and what is evil. “Judge not, lest you also be judged…..” has become the solo, favorite Scripture of the secular world and the media ~ (as was evidenced during the Clinton scandals) so that people are encouraged to look the other way when there is sin and moral failure. Sorry, but we’re getting some wakeup calls! We’d better be able to know some of these people by their fruit!

  91. It is so easy to judge people instead of love them pray for them in the time of trouble. I have only one thing to say to all of the critics. “Let ye that is without sin cast the first stone.” John 8:7 Aren’t we glad that God is the righteous judge!!!!!

  92. Why has my commenting been waiting in moderation for 2 hours,,,just curious ??:)))

Phil: I live in Greece and the time zones are quite different. I do check as often as I can but I do have a secular job that right now is extremely busy. Thank you for your patience.

  93. I am a woman minister and am called by God not by man. The Bible as a whole should be the basis in determining if a woman can be used by the Lord. God does not contradict himself. We must study the word and seek the Holy Spirit for revelation. At this time, we first need to get on OUR knees and examine ourselves. Then seek the Lord and pray for his will to do done and intercede for all those involved. I fear the Lord and will not put my finger on his annointed. You may not agree with their choices – but Weeks, Bynum and the Whites have at some point been used greatly by the Lord. Countless souls have been won by their ministries.

  94. @Jamila…

I think I speak for myself and the ‘others’ that you’ve cared to lump into a group of judgmental heathens.

All of what you said is good and true, and would be even moreso in this case, if the subjects had proven, at any time, that they were actual children of God. What they have presented over the years has been nothing short of the doctrine of devils, and thank God, everyone has not fallen for it. Some of us are willing to cry loud and spare not. Innocent blood will not be found on our hands.

I don’t disagree with any of the Scriptures you’ve given to draw your point; but, you’re talking about folks who fall without defiant intent, and the subjects being discussed are fallen from grace by their own will; pride and lust, to be exact. It took a knocking down, by God, Himself, to make them take a look at what they are/were doing; and, their restoration will be from God, Himself, as well. If, in all this time, they have yet refused to turn from their wickedness, then I trust that it is God who is dealing with them, one-on-one.

Sometimes, it behooves us to get out of the way while God does His will. You can, in fact, restore another too quickly; as in this case, not one of them has openly repented of their teachings, their deceit, or of robbing ignorant people. The Scriptures are clear on how we are to live; those who have the mind of Christ, that is. The dictionary is the only place where forgiveness is found before repentance.

We hear your type of verbiage at every turn, when people attempt to cover that which they are a part of, as well. I can give you as many Scriptures teaching us to mark those who cause division, to turn away, and to not so much as break bread with them; yet, people who are caught up in the deceit overlook those passages.

Jesus, Himself, warned of these types, and He gave the same to the Apostles to remind us, over and over again. When Paul said, for a time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; guess what? That time is upon us, and has been for quite some time.

The peace that Jesus taught separates the sheep from the goats, the believer from the unbeliever, the false teacher from the true disciple; our feelings have nothing to do with it. That is His sword, and by His authority, we are swinging it.

  95. Before we call for anyone’s resignation or asking to step down, I believe that we have to be careful because they are still people of God. They are human and have flaws just like us. It just happens that their stuff came to the limelight. I’m sure that some of us have stuff that we are hiding and keeping a secret and still are preaching, teaching and probably (God forbid) laying hands. We have to let God lead them to sit down if it’s HIS will. We have to pray and encourage them because God is still in control. He knew from the beginning that this day was coming. Who are we to say that this isn’t God’s plan to make their ministry even stronger than before. Before we are quick to throw stones at those in ministry, we need to pray. Just like in Genesis 9, when Ham saw his father, Noah, naked and instead of covering him at his vulnerable state, he ran and called his two brothers in to see what was going on. Instead of exploiting them and talking against them, we should be covering them in the spirit with our prayers and encouragement.

That could’ve been anyone of us and I personally thank God, because the situation with Prophetess Bynum could have been the other way. If you believe me or not, God gave me a dream at the end of July and in it, I saw headlines and newspaper clippings of her untimely death. All I could sense was great sorrow in the dream. If God didn’t intervene, we wouldn’t be talking about this like we are right now, but it would have been in memorial of her. But God is always in control and will not allow anything to happen to his sons and daughters.

Be very careful how you talk about a prophet of God even if they are in a fallen state because they still belong to God and HE has the final say so in the situation.

    Be blessed!

  96. Thanks Phil, I was just wondrin’. I’m new to blogs and bloggin’ , and I notice some blogs respond quickly and some take a bit, that and, I have antiquated dial up,:)) Be well, and God bless.

  97. …Lately I’ve been hearing preached messages, such as” A Sifting, before the Shifting”.
This season of disclosed sin amongst church leadsership has a Godly purpose – yet, as aforestated, the premise is the refining of God’s Church: not an opportunity to judge – therefore, I resist doing so.

All four of these individuals – though I strongly resist the “prosperity message”, which I believe they all preach – are STILL my brothers and sisters in the Lord. And I love them.

  98. I agree that all parties should step down. For everybody who is saying that we should not judge you are misconstruding the bible. Yes don’t judge people who occoasionally slip and commit sin but absolutely judge those who call themselves Christian leaders and living a LIFESTYLE of sin. This is not isolated it is a LIFESTYLE. We as the body of Christ are empowered and actually are required to call them out on these issues. We need to stop with this Don’t Judge nonesense its time for the Church to stand up and implement some morals on behalf of our God. As for all people who are in favor of woman Pastors Paul said an Elder must be a MAN of but One wife. Not a Woman of one Husband. At anyrate stop with this Don’t Judge them business and if you want to pray for anybody pray for the real victimes of the Weeks, Bynum and White SCANDALS the congragations that attended their full time business workshops. Yes I said business because I dare not call what they did ministries.

  99. They absolutely need to step down. They cannot continue to lead a ministry when their house is not in order. The Bible is clear in Timothy regarding what the requirements of an elder is. It’s not to say that God can’t restore them but for the time being, their priority should be getting their marriage back together and working out the issues. If they can’t be worked out then it only goes to show that one party is not willing and then they are deliberately going against the Word of God. Going in different directions is not the exception that God gives for divorce.

  100. We all need to pray for the body of Christ. The Bible tell’s us that there will be a great falling away from the truth, and that some will give heed to subducing spirits, and doctrins of devils. We must not esteem man more highly than God. The night is far spent, and the day is fast approaching[Christ is soon to come]. We as Holy Ghost filled christians have to be ready. This is not the time to pass judgment on any body. The word of God say’s judge not, that ye be not judged[Mathew,7:1]. Also, remember be sober, be vigilant: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion. walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.1Peter,5:8

  101. Someone forwarded this e-mail to me and I believe that you are the one who needs prayer. How quickly we are to judge. You are in no position to call people heretics, self-proclaimed or money hungry as you do not know any of them personally and even if you did, your responsibility is to pray. You may be correct in some of the things you are saying but you are doing harm with your words and sowing seeds of discord by telling people to stay away from them. They are all men and women of God who needs to be restored-we dont tear down. What if it was us, would we want God to do to us what you want us to do to them? What happened to prayer? Yes, divorce is wrong, yes, beating up your wife is wrong-but you are not God and do not have a hell or heaven to put them in. Besides, you are quoting scriptures and interpreting them incorrectly-Please stop before the judgement of God falls upon you.

  102. it is just a shame – will wil people learn .

My mom would tell us when were growing up
” Things done is secret will find its way out”

Something was going on behind the scenes, and it will come out. I have read a lot of things in the last week about this some are saying another man for her and some are saying another man for him.

but its still a shame now the people will suffer, I hope they start seeking God more than ever and start looking to him. That’s our problem we look to much to man and when he falls they fall.

fill you life with Christ and you will never be found empty.

  103. Having read a lot of comments from this site and others, it is sad that we are killing/destroying each other by our words. What kind of a picture are we showing to the rest of the world as representatives of Christ? I believe as Christians what we should be doing is praying for one another instead of judging. We do not know the full story and I don’t think we have to. All we must do, again, is to pray for these folks. Let’s support all of them with our prayers so the Lord may restore but more importantly that they will remain under God’s covering. I sign off with this: What if it was someone dear to you, like your son/daughter, what kind of a comment would you post??? Remember, Peter denied Jesus 3 times after saying he would never do that (Mark 14:66-72). Tomorrow it could be you and what would you want people to say about you. Never say never but live each day under his grace. Let’s support one another with prayers. I’m not condoning what he did but as children of God we must lift each other in prayer at all times. Right now the world is saying look at these Christians, they are laughing at each other. Is this what we want saints??? My prayer is that they all seek the face of the Father and ask for his guidance henceforth. May God richly bless you all.

  104. I totally agree with Eva. I’m baffled by the leaps from announcement to pronouncement to denouncement that most are making about these couples who they do not know, and are most certainly under demonic attack. All have sinned and fallen short. I pray that the Lord have mercy on us all, and I pray that His hand continue to be on these vessels who are most assuredly marred in the hands of the potter. Aren’t we all? I thank God for His goodness and His MERCY.

  105. What is happening is that people are allowing others to define God and God’s Word for them. We get so caught up in what these “leaders” are preaching to us instead of reading the Word for ourselves. Our relationship with God is a personal thing. Juanita Bynum can’t do it…Weeks can’t do it…The Whites can’t do it…We have to actively seek God for ourselves. Don’t be lazy and sit in church or watch television and think that’s good enough. Seek God and read God’s Word for yourself!

  106. Its’ amazing of all the scriptures we can quote to make what we say and think right. The matter is that the word of God is here because we are imprefect. Not because we can say and do everything right. If you are practicing sin and having a party in sin then yes, God’s rule of correction is going to happen. But who’s practicing, i think these people are tying to live life just like you. Are we God. Do we really know what is in someone’s heart. Yes you can idenifty a tree by the furit it bares. (example) You know a apple tree when you see it because it is growning apples. But you don’t know which apple is Good and which one is Bad or even if one taste sweeter than the other. NO you dont. Why, because you don’t see the inside, you just see the outside. You just know its a apple tree. So lets check are own lives. If we change what we believe because a few people fail, then who are you really serving, God or personalities. God will work things out. For real people it’s not the end of the world. God makes that call. So people grow up, move on. Worried about your soul and what you do. Stop trying to always find the wrong in what poeple do. I wish God’s people could pay this much attention in church and to there families, rather than the failure of others on the 6 oclock news.

P.N Please read Galatians 5:22-23. That gives us a pretty good indication as to where they are at spiritually. I don’t think deception is covered in the above passage, do you?

P.N. How do you know the condition of my heart? Please ease up on the Caps.

  108. As a single female believing God to send me a mate, I have been saddened by the news with Prophetess Bynum and Paula White. They have two things in common…they are very powerful, annointed women who have been used by God to bless many. Yet their husbands love Jesus also.

Flesh…I have flesh…I have made mistakes comparable to both Bynum and White…and I have repented.

And that’s what we all need to do. Imagine that Jesus has come back now? Would you want Him to find you thinking about what’s going on in Bynum’s and White’s life?

I actually love these ladies…I pray that God bless them to recover all and destroy the enemy, just like He allowed Sampson to do in the days of the Old Covenant. The blood of Jesus is very powerful. The name of Jesus is very powerful.

I decree and declare in the name of Jesus that the blood of Jesus covers Bynum, White and their husbands. I pray that they receive a new heart once again and the mercy of God. I pray that they make it into the kingdom of heaven and that their work not be destroyed.

I also pray that we as the body of Christ would all learn how to hear Jesus more and more, that we would learn to crucify our flesh and honor God.

No one is exempt from falling. When we walk in our own will, when we walk in our own way, the enemy then deceives us into thinking that we’re okay outside of the perfect will of God.

    Listen, listen, fast and pray….

  109. You need a heart transplant!! From a heart of stone to a heart of love. Love covers a multitude of sin. For jesus love us so much, that he suffered bleed and died for all our sins.the church don’t deal abuse often enough. there is so much abuse in the church house. We are human beings ! abuse comes in many forms .I’ve been there, we all have a personal relationship with God inspite of what any one saids ,do what God tells you. When i begin to realize how much God loves me ,and i was not a punching bag. I Got—Out. Unless you walk a mile in their shoes how can you judge.

  110. First off I’d like to say that condemning the man is not going to solve anything. You should pray for your brother or sister when you see them at fault. Its sad that this happened but you have to understand that people are human and they make mistakes. Yes Weeks is wrong 100 percent. God will be the judge on this one.

I pray for the poster of this article. Condemnation is not a way of solving things, it only makes things worse.

Ask yourself, do you have it all together? I’m quite sure you don’t. There are areas we all slip in. If you sin it is major regardless to how big or small of a sin you think it is.

Being saved, we are all the righteousness of God. On our best day we aren’t worthy of His Grace. Like it or not, Weeks is still a child of God.

When you put your trust in people, thats when you mess up. Our trust is supposed to be entirely in God! God has anointed leaders so you should not speak on who should and should not be in leadership. Somewhere someone is learning from this.

Trust in God not in man and you’ll be fine. Man will mess up time and time again but God will never fail. So, if you read this…. know that God has you and the Weeks’ situation is in His hands. Spend more time seeking God and not the world of Gossip!

  111. To all those who think we shouldn’t judge the Buynums and Whites and those like them….

me thinks you don’t give a darn about the Gospel or about the welfare of the church.

I wonder why it doesn’t bother you that the Whites have a Malibu house, and a private jet. Or that Juanita is a false prophetess. The world is turned off not because of it’s hardheartedness to the gospel but because these people are a joke and apostates.
The world looks at the church and sees all the same greed and selfishness that they see in the world and think God is not real since his so called disciples act this way.
Check this out about the apostle Paul…. does this sound like the Whites or the Buynums:
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed and beatened and homeless.
    1 Cor 4:11
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them. For such people do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appitites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.
    Romans 16:17-18.

I apologize if the above Romans verse was quoted in any previous comments since it fits so appropriately. I didn’t have time to read all the comments.

  112. Let me add…..
We are told to test all things to the word of God.
I am judging what they are teaching. And it don’t in no way add up to the word of God! Sorry you can’t see that. After all it does say we will judge angels. The word of God is given for this perpose. But if you bury your heads in the sand and refuse to check their teachings and prophesies to the word of God then you’ll get sucked down to hell along with them.

  113. Looks like the majority of people here would clearly rather put God’s Word aside (re: I Tim 3) than to hold these people accountable. NO ONE is asking that they be tarred and feathered; we’re just saying that they should be removed from church leadership AS THE BIBLE SAYS!!! But many of you are telling us to set God’s Word aside and to just forgive and pray for these people.

Yes, we forgive them; yes, we pray for them. And no, we’re not “condemning” them. We’re just highly doubtful that they’ll remove themself from church leadership, as the Bible mandates, and that’s what’s being discussed here. Yet you people here come up with every justification in the world as to why God’s Word should be put aside.

God does provide for divorce, but not for the reason of “going in different directions”, as with Paula and Randy. And if they do it, sheeple such as yourselves will likewise do so, after seeing their fine examples. The divorce rate among the Body of Christ is higher than that of the secular world, and these four people will certainly perpetuate this situation. And this is the message you want to send to the world?

And another thing – what has “Prophetess” Bynum ever prophesied that has come true? I think I’ll start calling myself “Prophetess Missy”. I’m impressed!

This very day, Sen. Larry Craig is removing himself from the U.S. Senate because of his poor choices. No one is damning him to hell; he and his colleagues just realize that a person in power is to be held to a higher standard, and since he violated that standard, he needs to go. Yet you people are saying we in the church have no standards, just “forgive and forget”.

Sorry, these people are still saved and still children of God, and can still serve the Lord in some capacity, but they’re poor behavior and examples have disqualified them from leadership, as the Bible demands. And you people should be ashamed by being so eager to set aside God’s Word out of expediency. They should do as Ted Haggard did and resign so as to show the world that their behavior is not fitting for a leader of God’s people.

  114. One of the things I love most about God is that He sees things so much more simply than we do…they are SO simple that they are profound, yet His ways are higher than our ways.

I believe that God is watching me. Oh He will deal with the Weeks, the Whites, but I can’t live their lives. He’s watching ME. Did I do what He said to do? Am I walking in love? (I Cor. 13).

As an analogy, some skinny people that have a great metabolism have no idea what it’s like when every donut goes straight to your waistline. They say they have more willpower and “why can’t you be like me” when, in reality, they don’t have your struggle. By the same token, we have no idea what it’s like to oversee a multi-million dollar ministry, minister to others almost 24/7, and have a marriage and family all at the same time. You’re a minster, yet the celebrity of it all is in there too……you’re juggling.

As far as women in the pulpit, the Bible says that there is no male nor female, bond nor free, Jew nor Gentile….IN CHRIST…(Gal. 3:27-29) and THAT’S the distinction. Now keep in mind Paul said this. The SAME Paul that said…”women keep silent”. The difference? The church to which Paul wrote that letter was having a problem with women (who, I believe, did NOT study as the men did, so were unlearned) being out of order.

In Christ, and under His unction, under HIS annointing, and submitting as a willing vessel to His will, HE can use whomever or whatever he chooses. Has Paula White spoken the Word? Yes. Has Juanita Bynum? Yes. Have they blessed many? Yes. Are they under attack? Yes. In the end God will hold me responsible for what I said about and how I treated others, and will hold me to the standard to which I hold others. Therefore, I’m VERY humble, merciful, and prayerful. They need wisdom and forgiveness. It’s called a “challenge”, and if you live long enough, you’ll have your share. God Help Us All. Peace.

  115. Missy,
Right on sis, right on! However, you are wasting your time trying to talk sense into people who are utterly decieved. (Been there, done that….head hurts now:))

How do you think it is possible for “ministries” and I say that with tongue in cheek, to accumulate such wealth, power and prestige? Simple. They do it by taking advantage of the most gullible, niave sheep on the planet. It has gotten so bad in this day and age that I honestly can’t figure out why the Lord is so patient, but He is. Surely we are on the verge, the cusp of a great and terrible shaking. I wouldnt be surprised if something very, very major is about to happen in the world of these blood suckers. I can only see two outcomes, God by His mercy shakes the towers of rubble till there is nothing less, bringing the sheep to their senses and a great revival breaks out…..OR God in His mercy returns quickly and leaves hundreds of millions of Americans behind to come to their senses. Either way we must all pray earnestly for the Lord to stop this vile nonsense, it is tearing me up on the inside. Like Missy said, we are not condemning but we are very, very distressed now that we can truly begin to see through the thin veil into what really is going on with these people. With all my heart I pray that the Lord tears every veil away and brings them to their knees in true repentance. I also pray that He keeps us all from falling into the same sins. Amen.

  117. I think many of us are missing the point. Yes, God can and will use whomever He chooses – the gifts of God are without repentance.

Bishops/Pastors/Teachers of God’s Word must be held accountable – to a higher standard. It’s about more than missing the mark; its about willingly perverting the Word for our personal use or benefit.

Too many Christians are ignorant in the things and ways of God. God tells us to use wisdom! Each of us, including the rich and celebrity Christians, must repent and seek the face of God who is just and able to forgive.

Paula, Randy, Thomas and Juanita won’t acknowledge any wrong doing and we won’t hold them accountable – forgiveness does exempt them from the consequences of their actions.

Who’s on the Lord’s side??? It is time for the body of Christ to make a choice to stand for God or the Devil! If they (Randy, Paula, Thomas & Juanita) want the support of their congregation they should repent publically and sit themselves down for a season. If we allow them to continue with “business as usual”, we are agreeing with their actions and condoning their behavior – and we are allowing their sin to continue which makes us just as guilty as them. It is our responsibility to help keep each other on track.

Let’s look past their celebrity and to the Word of God.

    God Bless!

  118. Just from reading… I’m thinking that some of you are glad that this has happened in their life. What happened to the strong bearing the infirmities of the weak. Right now, we should be lifting them up with our prayers. I believe that if God called you to the ministry, He knows that you were going to fall 10 or 15 years down the road. I mean, how are we going to be able to minister to all if we don’t go through something. If they fell, that’s okay, because God saw it from the beginning of time that they were going to do it. He wasn’t shock when this happened because He called them knowing that it was going to happen. Thanks BE TO GOD that he doesn’t react the same way as we do, because none of us in ministry would have a standing chance to reprove ourselves. I’m glad that HE is the judge and not some of us. I do pray that God will cause their ministry to propel after a time of healing and restoration that will come forth. As stated earlier, this could’ve been the other way around. God spared her life. And for us to be sitting up here throwing scripture incorrectly and for our own satisfaction is very shameful. We should be building them up in the spirit and not trying to kick them while they are in the dirt. As her not being the “prophet” you want her to be, there are many degrees of a prophet. So be careful of how one talks about the vessel of God because we will be held accountable for every word we speak and type about His man and women servants. I believe in showing compassion because Jesus himself said that the shame degree of compassion we show here on earth will be the same that God gives to us in heaven (Matthew 18:21-35). Some of us are going to be dealt harshly with because of how we treat our brothers and sisters down here.

  119. As an American living overseas for the past 20 + years in the developing world, I can’t help but think about how much our own culture & society’s values play into what is creeping into the church. I can’t take a stand and judge either party – I feel extremely saddened by the whole thing. The repercussions of what has happened will be great, unfortunately.

Perhaps we, as believers in an extremely wealth-driven society, are slowly allowing the values of the world to creep in and fog our understanding of what’s needed & not?

I believe God sustains, gives & provides what we need – but what we need is very different oftentimes from what we want. Here in this part of the world, believers have no choice but to trust God for their next meal, their next pair of shoes, a bus ticket to get to work. The great news is that God does take care of them.

My heart is grieved, I can only pray that the church will somehow focus on what is 1st: winning the lost and telling them about Christ for that’s why we are here.

  120. correction to my earlier comment – forgiveness does NOT exempt them from the consequences of their actions.

  121. You know, some of you are so intelligent in your own eyes you speak as though you have all the facts of the matter before you.

Rosie, in your piece, you stated that “… we better know some of these people by their fruit…”, tell me, what is the fruit of their works? Do you know how many people they have brought into the Kingdom of God? Do you know all the charitable works they do in private? or do you only hear about the charitable works that don’t go as planned? Tell me, what is the fruit of your labor for the Kingdom of God?

Prisca, tell me something, how does one “prove they are God’s child”? because if the proof is to be without sin, or to be perfect, or to never make any mistakes then I have news for you, no man on earth satisfies any of those things. Tell me, in as many words as you want, prove to all of us here in this forum that you are child of God. We are all only God’s children by his mercy and love, not by our deeds and or qualifications.

Yoli, please explain to me the characteristics of a “true” minister and also that of a “successful” one. Can one call themselves a true minister if they commit a sin? or if they make a mistake? or if they leave their husband/wife after suffering abuse? Please educate the class. Look, no one for a second is calling these people saints and I am sure they do not call themselves as such; how much of the dynamics of each of the cases being discussed do you know? Do you take as fact everything you read on the headline news? Note, these people are high profile people, at least in the Christian world, and when stories like these come up all the news paper and TV reporters do their best to be the first to break the news; and as you know, the juicier or the more outrageous they can make is sound, the better. They usually bury the little facts they have in a mountain of sensational writing and they push it far enough to avoid being sued. So don’t pass judgment until you know the whole truth. You had some good things to say but you lost all credibility with me when you started the name calling and the dismissive talk. I am not sure if you want to be taken seriously but if you do, try to keep the name calling out of your writings, it gives your otherwise insightful writing a juvenile overtone. Take my advise for what it’s worth.
One of the reasons so many learned people on this forum are discouraging passing judgment is because neither family has made any public statements concerning the matter so how can you, or anyone else for that matter, pass an educated judgment of these people?

I detect a hint of jealousy and envy in the writings in most of the people calling for the “heads” of the Weeks and White families and I sincerely hope I am wrong. My God bless you all, and please remember, we are not saved by our deeds or merit but by Gods grace, love and tender mercy. Imagine what shape you’d be in if God treated you like you are treating his children right now.

  122. Excellent writing Carmen, there are so many entries on this forum but I pray that a healthy number of people pick up your peace.

It’s almost like a some of the contributers to this forum are happy to see the Whites and the Weeks go through what they are going through. I don’t see how one can delight in their brother’s or sister’s fall; and that’s what we all are, brothers and sisters in Christ.

God bless you Carmen. You echoed the points I have been making all this time. God bless you and your family.

  123. Al,
I believe that you are very sincere in your defence of these people, but where we fundermentally differ is that you believe they are Gods ministers and I and people like me do not. In fact I believe that they are poor, misguided false teachers who have become currupted by the love of money and are now doing a great disservice to the body of Christ and to the name of the Lord Jesus. There is not a shred of jealousy in my heart but it does ache over the great harm that these people are causing. Sure, I pray for them….I pray that their false citidels be torn down swiftly and totally. I pray that as they lay in the rubble of their once great “kingdoms” that they will come to their senses, repent and allow the Lord to restore them.

I pray that I would not become bitter towards them, that I would see the ease in which one can stumble like they did. I pray that the eyes of tens of millions of Americans be opened as a result. Tens of millions of Americans who are so utterly confused and lacking discernment as to know that these peolpe are way, way off base. Lord knows we need a deep and thorough revival to shake our land….led not by oppulant super stars but nameless, faceless nobodies of Christendom who will fall on their faces to seek God like never before. We need persecution to tear into the Lords body. This filthy black corrupt garment that has entwined itself into the pure church, creating an aberation sort of reminds me of the scene in Spiderman 3 where the black alien goop “becomes one” with Peter Parker. In the end he has to come to his senses and be in a place where the “aweful” clanging sound of revival enables the black filthy garment to be torn from his body and thus restoring and freeing him from its deception and control.

May the Lord have mercy on his people and send a clanging revival like that. Amen.

  124. I am not happy to hear about any of this. I have been a faithful covenant partner with Paula White Ministries for the last three or so years. I also penciled in her NYC empowerment conferences through 2008. I’ve sought the face of God because of her teachings and have seen God move in a mighty way in my own life. No, I am not at all happy to hear this news!

I believe Randy and Paula have poured themselves into the lives of others, especially in missions work; they have been both blessed and a blessing.

I am not challenged with the money they’ve made or the houses or jets they own – they are vessels where blessings flow freely to and fro. They also have outside businesses (books, tapes, speaking engagements, real estate, etc.) and wealth and financial prosperity should follow. Praise God!

I walk in Love, Prayer and Forgiveness; however, the Bible tells us not to be deceived (especially by Christians); in all things use wisdom. Some of us are trying to build a wall of protection around them when God might be trying to refine and prove them. Let’s pray that God’s Will be done.

With that being said, while we are praying for the White and the Weeks families we must also show our disapproval of their actions.

For a Bishop and teacher/preacher of the gospel to go against God’s Word to “agree” on a divorce when it is stated that no 3rd party was involved or beat their wife is not Godly. As Christians, they – like us, are to live and walk the word they teach/preach – especially during the difficult times; God is faithful, healer, and a sustainer. He can reconcile their hearts back to each other, but they must enter into His presence and be still.

To “sell” the seven blessings of the atonement for $200 is sinful – with intention to defraud – God doesn’t sell his anointing or blessing! We want the quick fix and are willing to pay for it (some of us what to protect them from the wrath and chastening of God thereby protecting ourselves so we can keep doing the things we are doing).

We receive all blessings and the anointing by having a personal and intimate relationship with God and being obedient.

I would pray that God’s will be done – I would not pray a specific prayer because I’m not looking for a specific outcome – I’d like God to move in a mighty way in all of their (our) lives.

Because of the recent events each person should repent, apologize to their congregations and partners, sit themselves down for a season, humble themselves, seek the face of God and be obedient to God’s prompting. This is the same advice I would give to each of you and take for myself. We must be responsible and accountable –even if it hurts and causes a major disruption in our businesses, finances, and the way we want to live!

    In Love!

  125. It’s easy for us to make our comments concerning certain situatuins that arise via email etc., but what is necessary is prayer for the body of Christ. Many statements have been made concerning the recent events surrounding so-called, self-proclaimed ministers and bishops whom are supposed to represent Christ’s church.

Because many women have stepped outside of the guidelines that GOD has ordained, these things have begun to happen. I believe several pple have stated in their comments that the women were to keep silence in the church according to the WORD of GOD. This is correct. It does not make us any less than men when we submit to GOD’s authority by sumbitting to o ur husbands.

We are not to usurp his authority for GOD said that the man is our head and we are to submit to him in all things for this is pleasing to the Lord. Certainly, this is the 2000’s but God said, heaven and earth will pass away but HIS words will stand forever.

Now women, you can choose to do what the world says or do what GOD commanded. When we step outside of the will of God and “do what is right in our own eyes” we become prey to the enemy. Sooner or later, events such as this will happen that will put a dark cloud on the “church”.

When we preach any other gospel other than the gospel of the kingdom which we have received from the beginning, there will be dire consequences. Many self proclaimed preachers get high-minded and above themselves, full of pride and arrogance because “men” are following after them, patting them on the shoulders and adoring them instead of lifting up the Lord.

Thus, destruction comes and it doesn’t come without a warning. The charge has been given to men whether women like it or not to preach the gospel. Women can teach other women in the appropriate setting but no woman has any right or authority to stand over a man to teach him the word of GOD.

Yes, women are indeed gifted but you have been given the role of a helpmeet, according to the word of GOD. Just because many get saved under your ministry does not mean that you are in the will of God, woman. Because of the goodness and the sovereignty of GOD, HE will allow those to get saved but you yourself will find yourself a castaway.

It is unfortunate what happened to Ms. Bynum Weeks – no man has a right to put his hands on any woman regardless of what took place. It is unfortunate as to what is taking place in Ms. Paula Whit’es life however, these are consequences of being out of order. God will allow the enemy to “sift” us when we are out of HIS will causing HIS name to be blasphemied among the heathen.

The ungodly are watching the hypocricy of the church. Peaching wealth and prosperity all the while their homes are torn apart, many are in adulterous affairs.

But God is no one to play with. When you have been called and set apart for HIS service, it would behoove you to stay within the confines of HIS gospel. Their own mouths will testify against them in the day of judgment. It is clear that these women are out of order and many women alike and if we do not stop, take a look at the paths that we are taking, we can expect many more such cases in time to come.

The church has become one of entertainment and have given these tv and self-proclaimed ministers celebrity status. Churches will pay big money to get these “icons” tos peak at their church when there are so many souls dying within that very church.

These pple come to our churches and preach this watered down, worldly gospel and we rave about it when Jesus came preaching the kingdom and never required a “fee” to do the WILL OF GOD. Jesus spoke the truth and never preached wealth but preached LIFE.

These pple are so earthly minded and self-willed and we, as a body are not holding them accountable nor brining in to question their lifestyles. God judged Sodom and Gomorrah for their lifestyles and how much more will HE judge us.

These words are not to be vicious but these words should cut like a two-edged sword to make us examine ourselves and our motives. Stop following after these mega church ministers with their wealth doctrine and follow after Jesus.

It has gotten to where I am sick of seeing such wickedness on television spreading through the airwaves to many homes and these individuals drinking the blood and stealing the souls of pple. God said that HE would spue them out of HIS mouth.

Women, follow after God and not a woman trying to take the lead over her husband. God said “submit to your husbands”. Irregardless of what the woman whom professes to be a minister does in delivering women from bondage, she is still out of order – hold her accountable.

Get back in your God-ordained place women and be led by GOD and submit to your husband. Even if these women continue to do well according to the world’s standard, there will be a day when they will stand before GOD and answer for being out of HIS order. Hell is waiting many of us if we don’t repent and turn around. It will be much more crucial than physical abuse or a divorce from a spouse. It is eternal separation from GOD in hell, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  126. As I read this article I wonder where the love is. Obviously, these people have made some mistakes but I would hope that everyone that calls themselves Christians will come to their aid with prayer and compassion. I agree with some of the other commentors that the writer of this article seems to be glad that these ministers are having troubles. There is nothing ‘Christian’ about that either. If there is anyone out there that has come to Christ through the ministries of any of 4 mentioned, then we all should come together in prayer and support, not condemnation.

  127. What it boils down to is, rebellion. We do not know the facts of the matter, we see the result of sin and rebellion. Whenever there is abuse, mistreatment, disobedience, divorce, fornication, etc., there is sin.

Someone has stepped outside of the will of God. Nothing happens without God. I don’t think there is any jealousy in commenting on the two incidents but calling sin what it is. A secular writer said “a rose by any other name is still a rose”.

A people of God, we have got to stand up to the standard and hold others accountable. Paul said, is there not a wise man amoung you? (I Cor. 6 v 5) He told us that we ought to be able to judge righteous judgment. He asked “know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? (verse 6)

Certainly, matters such as this should be brought before believers and not to the outside secular world for they cannot judge our matters. (I Cor. 6)

But, as believers, we are to hold one another accountable for they way that we live. There are guidelines within the ver Word of GOD when a brother or sister walks contrary to the Word. God has HIS way of dealing with them and we as a body of believers, have been instructed to carry out those laws. Amen. It would behoove us to do so.

To strike another individual, let alone your spouse, is sin in the eyes of God. To divorce your spouse for any reason other than adultery is in violation of God’s Word for the Word says that He hates divorce. If there is anyway that these two couples can reconcile, it would behoove them to do so.

The secular world is having a hayday with the ills of church folk whom proclaim one thing and display another. We make a mockery of Christianity by our evil deeds and God will call all of us into judgment for it, whether we participate in it or sit back and say nothing about it.

It is time that the pple of God walked the walked that they talk. Do not honor God with our mouths but our hearts are far from HIM. We then become hypocrites!!!!

There is sin in the camp of the Weeks and the Whites home and God is exposing it. HE will bring us before great men and expose us. We cannot continue to cause HIS name to be blasphemied among the heathen. We cannot continue to preach this prosperity gospel so many of them are GUILTY of preaching.

The WORD says if we are an angel from heaven com to you preaching any other gospel than that what you have recieved from the beginning, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1 v 8). Many are guilty of this sin and GOD is exposing it.

Once again, when we get outside of the will of GOD, lifted up by pride, we find ourselves in the enemy’s camp and GOD will let him “touch” us.

Believers should listen to what is being said by these self-proclaimed ministers and line it up with the WORD of GOD. We don’t have to accept what they say. When we see such violence as this coming forth from so-called pple of GOD, we need to question what’s going on – how are they living. Are they still in the will of GOD.

Just because someone has a mega church or a profitable ministry and can speak or word or two to draw crowds does not mean that they are following OUR GOD.

We will be praying for the Weeks and the White family for there is inevitable sin in the camp that produced such events. If they are walking by the Spirit of GOD, they wouldn’t have fulfilled the desires of the flesh to violate anyone nor divorce.

God said “what GOD hath joined together let no man put asunder” so neither of these individuals have a right to divorce. You cannot stand before the pple of GOD preaching one thing and doing another.

God will expose you in the sight of the world and your only recourse is to humble yourself and repent. There will be a more violant outcome for our leaders and pple in general if we do not repent – it’s called hell.

My prayers are for these two household because it is evident that they are divided and neither will stand according to the word of God. I’m praying for their repentance and getting back into their necessary roles where GOD intended for them – not what the world intended.

Repentence is needed. Healing both physically and spiritually is needed. Restoration is needed. Utlimately, these individuals should get their focal point back on GOD and not on themselves and what they want or feel. They are in error and GOD will certainly deal with them.

I am ashamed for their behaviors and thought processes which brought them to this open humilation of not only themselves but the church as a whole. But do know, that what is done in the dark will come to the light. Nothing is done in secret. Sin has been going on in these individuals lives for some time, it just manifested itslef in the natural realm – God revealed it.

They should not be allowed to continue in their ministries unless repentence, true repentence has been made. Pray for them because judment is at their door. God loves and is merciful but HIS judgment is a part of HIS love.

  128. While we are arguing back and forth over why Thomas Weeks hit his wife, and whether or not she provoked him or not, whether or not he was gay … these issues are on the fringes of the REAL SET OF ISSUES! These people were out giving marriage seminars, prophesying over people, and living a life of absolute luxury, not denial( as they preach) …all the while, condemning folk that have the very same issues that they got exposed! Truth is, these two have forgotten the account in the book of acts about Annanias and Sapphira. And , obviously stepped right past their own teachings and the words of Jesus, himself, about those who tell you to do the right things but dont do them , themselves! In the case with Annanias and Sapphira, The church was absolutely bound to deal with their lie INSIDE THE CHURCH , before the lie they told had to be dealt with outside the church. As for Juanita and Thomas, You see, they assumed the church wouldnt find out about their separation, because they were content to be pretenders. There are another set of major issues here. It was the church that paid for their lifestyle, their homes, cars, travel ,entertainment, etc.! It was the church that affirmed their positions and their very words and actions were accepted as holy and wholly inspired by God , Himself! Herein is the problem, while they looked upon others who needed to be taught by them becuase they had arrived to their most holy place, through purification, here these two are not carrying it out, NOW they want this issue to be a “private matter” Their “secret” became a public display, and NOW they call it a private matter??? It wasnt a “private matter ” when they were at the hotel that night acting like a couple of crazy persons. That was the night that the “private matter” which was really a “secret” came public. Now they want to take it all back , so they can go on with their happy lives. CLUE… the government is involved now. In order for him to NOT go to jail, he will have to tell what he knows. In order for her to not lose ground and possibly her ministry, she will have to tell what she knows. They both know that there is much to be lost and the charges have nothing to do with whether or not she will testify against him. Lets look back 20 years…. Jim Bakker went to jail for Wire Fraud, but He got caught having an affair on his wife in the midst of the same type of lavish lifestyle and presumption that is going on in this situation. The affair simply caused the government to take a good hard look at what these folks were doing … for real. The same is the case now. after the civil and criminal stuff is finished, WATCH what comes down the pipe next! The church should tell them both to go someplace and SIT DOWN! The church should be tired of the high priced, more pimp and preacher, types! It is causing the testimony of real Christiand and the real person of JESUS CHRIST to be made a mockery! If Jesus IS THE ANSWER, then, people, DO YOU HAVE HIM??? JUANITA IS MAKING PUBLIC STATEMENTS, THROUGH A PUBLICIST, THAT SHE WAS “ASSAULTED”, THUS WORKING TO KEEP UP WITH THE STATUS-QUO , BECAUSE, AFTER ALL, GOD HAS MORE IN HER FUTURE AND DESTINY….WOW! MAKING THIS LOOK LIKE ANOTHER IKE AND TINA MELODRAMA, HUH? HE, THOMAS WEEKS, HAS SET UP A “RAVENS FUND” WHICH REEKS OF THE IMAGERY OF REFERRING TO THE BIBLE ACCOUNT OF THE PROPHET ELIJAH BEING PERSECUTED BY THE EVIL QUEEN JEZEBEL?!?!? elijah and jezebel? IKE AND TINA? I think not! These two are acting more like Whitney and Bobby!

This is my point…. the church needs to deal with them and this situation! All of this “we all have issues garbage” is making us all look like baffoons and , honestly, we are being set up for one of the worst and hardest lessons about how Christians, in the midst of the issues that surround how black people and white people are handled in the justice system, regardless of economics! While they are using the churches money to siphon out tens of thousands of dollars to handle this mess, on both sides, their ministry and the church should expect that the same folks they will see in the court that day will turn them , and their lives into the hands of a much greater enemy! They both need to go sit down! They obviously know what to tell people , as far as, how to live, how to grow and prosper, but they cannot do it themselves! Jesus called that hypocracy! We cannot , any longer, applaud or take sides to this mess! They both need to change directions and discipline themselves alot more . Im all for forgiveness and restoration, however, Being a pastor used to be something that was honorable. Now, anyone can be a pastor, or bishop, or even Doctor. We need to take a good hard look at ourselves and examine if we are doing whats right to ensure that we know those who labor among us and that we deal honestly on the inside so that the folks on the outside dont have good reason to discredit us or the God we serve! Incidentally, did anyone else notice that Juanitas good friend paula White, also announced her divorce last Thursday night , to her church with her soon-to-be ex-husband at her side? Birds of a feather! Paula white , juanita bynum , joyce meyers all use their “former-victim-status” to capitalize on amassing wealth for themselves and they do it with weak men who they know will go along with their little parade. All at the expense of WOMEN, mainly minority women, who have been abused. How sad! Paulas husband, like Juanitas, has been swirling in controversy about his lifestyle for years. These women all know what they have and work hard to appear as if they are the exception to the rules that we all , down deep, know really apply to human relationships, men and women alike! Making millions of women, abused, trodden down , and victimized , subject to their new brand of economic and spiritual abuse is unforgivable. Paulas husband took full responsibility for his marriage on Thursday and told the congregants that he would still pastor the church and she would go on with her ministry and even come back to preach there. Translation… LETS GO ON LETS GO ON WITH OUR HAPPY LIVES, AS IF NONE OF THIS EVER HAPPENED. where is the accountability for these people. It is NOT a private matter! None of this is! The people supporting their “ministries” really should demand answers. God never told any of us to never judge a matter. He told us to be careful what we judge and how we cast judgment. There is a difference. Trust me, Im no journalist, nor am I perfect (sinless) . when these things occur, we have to , as painful as it is, demand answers. Divorce is ugly, abuse is ugly, lies are ugly and when you are telling people how to live and you arent doing it, they have a right to ask WHY and you are required and obligated to answer that question and deal with the consequence of your actions. People are devoting their time, energy, children, and money to these ministries, all in hope that they are pleasing God. These men and women have no right to claim that their actions do not require the concrete action from the church! Its not a private matter! They should be held accountable for their actions before the church. Not for their destruction but for the sake of the whole so that others will have a clue that you cannot, must not, think that you are too big that no one here on earth can touch you. God did say “touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm..” however, when you are truly anointed and ready for that “next level” you will act like it and not scream like these folks are “wait! wait!” refusing to hear onjective counsel and recieve correction. It should be the church, not the government that deals with these folks. sad thing is, the church wont and the government is going to have to deal with the whole thing on a whole other level. Remember Jim Bakker? God will use the outside governances to bring us into correction when we do not judge ourselves. We have been saying yes! and amen! to too much stuff that is plain WRONG! To borrow a quote from my favorite movie “Deliver Us From Eva” To Paula, juanita, Randy and Thomas….”Pretend that Im your mother right now….and Momma says…”CLEAN IT UP!” Get the point people????

  129. 1Corinthians 14:34-36 MKJV

I disagree with using this scripture out of context. The LORD is not saying that women can not speak the word of God. There were a lot of issues transpiring in the church at Corinth; much like today. However many, unfortunately use this scripture out of context to say that women should not preach, pastor, etc. But I find numerous examples in the scriptures that support women in ministry. Priscilla, Unis, Philips daughters, Lydia, Dorcous and even Junia/ Junias – possibly the first woman (apostolos) apostle. If the LORD can send the WORD through a sparrow, raven, donkey, fish, whale, or roster; why not a woman fashioned from the essence of GOD according to Genesis; I believe the issue is one of integrity and accountability which is not gender specific. Societal roles and gender specific offices of responsibility do matter but do not take precedence over the mandate GOD’s plan issued to believers in the 28th chapter of Matthew. Though this is one of many tragedies that the body of Christ is currently facing, I know that 1Peter 4:17-19 is unequivocally applicable. I pray that we all focus on 2 Chronicles 7:14-15.

GOD Bless, we are obligated to pray

  130. can someone please tell me why is Juanita Bynum attending the dinner that Oprah is throwing for Barack Obama? Nothing against Obama. I’m beginning to wonder what really went on in that parking lot. I would think that she’d be somewhere consulting the Lord and receiving healing and restoration.

  131. I don’t know your name but you sound like Paul to me. I can fill this reply with a bunch of scriptures regarding your words but I choose to make you read and study the bible for yourself and maybe you’ll repent and allow God into your heart. I want you to search and study the bible for these things:
putting your mouth on the man/woman of God, forgiveness, the measure of how you judge others, praying without ceasing and how to intercede for others. No matter what your opinion, we are all brothers and sisters in Christ so why would blast them the way you have? Is that what Jesus would do? How perfect are you? Last time I checked no one is without sin and all sin stinks in the nostils of God. Without God, there is no good thing in us. Our righteousness is likened unto a filthy rag. We are, only because of God and you need to thank him for covering and forgiving the multiple sins you’ve committed and are going to commit. It sounds like you need him more than the people you were talking about. Look to the hills from whence cometh your help (not to man) and establish not a religion but a relationship with God. I pray this will allow agape love to fill your heart.

  132. It’s been quite interesting to read all the comments. So many that are Bynum/White supporters seem to have forgotten that we are supposed to be discerning and we are to see the fruit. What have these women been teaching? Is it truly biblical or did they take scripture out of context to support their own distorted views? Do their lives reflect what Jesus taught? Have they laid down their lives and taken up Jesus cross daily? Or, are they preaching and teaching another gospel, one that leads people astray and brings death? Why are they so filled with pride that they believe the world can’t do without their “wisdom” and so won’t leave the limelight to get their lives in order? God must weep over the sin that has infected the church and the garbage that is spewed in His name.

  133. I’ve read most of the comments here. Many who are supporters of Juanita and Paula keep using the verse “touch not my anointed and do them no harm”. I am quite certain that the majority, if not all, of these folks heard this said by a preacher/teacher who had been brought to task because of continuing to teach false doctrine, namely “prosperity gospel”. They are quick to say that they are anointed by God and no one should say anything bad about them. WHAT? Would the supporters on this site even know that verse was in the Bible if these prosperity teachers and false doctrine preachers hadn’t used it? If these men and women were truly living and preaching the Word of God they wouldn’t need to defend themselves with this verse!

  134. Looks like I have seen a new day! The whites are divorcing while Mrs. Bynum got a beat down. This is a new day for the body of Christ. These phonies are really doing a number on the Church like the number of pizzas and a pile of ice cream are doing to a railthin chick who has overeaten. Now I think that bellynoises in a woman is sexy but bellynoises in the church is not. The Whites and Bynum are the symptoms of bellynoises in the church and they are the reason why folk are being discouraged from the real issue with is the rejection of God and his son, Jesus Christ. The behavior of the whites and Bynum is leading people away from the path that leads to Jesus Christ and until someone points this out these problems will continue and it will lead to folks astray.

  136. you should all be praying and not condemning, are you sinless? is your spiritual house in order? you cannot be a part of the Kingdom with so much harsh comments, What would Jesus Do?

    John 3:16-17; 1 John 4:7-8

  137. has to be committed to prayer…So many churches are falling due to non attendance..attendance is in front of a tv set listening to one doctrine after another..spent on sending money for rags torn from sheets to bring a person what they desire..not once is the desire for Christ…erasing trust in God and putting trust in how much is sent in…Many will say..Lord Lord and the Lord will say I do not know you..Christians will count the cost and will stand for what is true and it will come to persecution in this country for many are confused and the gospel is watered down to fit men and to justify sin therefore there is no fear of God nor His word…many walking in darkness..foolish men who try to sue God…BUT…tHERE IS HOPE..hope is found in Jesus and it is a command that we preach the gospel to all that will hear…to count the cost for many before us were put to death for preaching in the name of Jesus…being a christian is taken seriously for those who know the Lord and will die for the cause of Christ…John 3:16 is quoted flippantly without taking to heart the seriousness of it’s meaning…A prophet is one who is called by God and those who call men prophets do not know the word to find what the qualification for a prophet is..When Samuel walked into a town..people knew he was from God and trembled..There is no trembling for those called prophets on the tv..just the hope of gaining what is material by using what a mere psychic will use…The reason churches do not preach repentance nor disciple is that they will offend men yet…they throw Jesus away the very one who paid the price for sin and there is no other way in which we can obtain salvation…In these times Paul’s words in 2nd Timothy is a reminder for us to endure to the endure is to reign with Him…As Jesus called the Pharisees out..the religious men who crucified do those who bear the name of Jesus call out those who are not of God but full of man’s religion that lead many to destruction and eternal seperation from God…Prayer requires action…to go forth in His name and to spread the gospel instead of spending another day figuring out these issues when there are many who it has effected and to encourage those to come to the Lord and not to men…

  138. I think she set the stage for much of the backlash she has received. People have to remember (especially ministers) that when they get out there and preach the word, prophet-ize and “JUDGE”, whatever negative they do will be magnified.

This is due to them not stressing the fact that they are human and make mistakes. What they do is stress the fact that God speaks and does things through them constantly. That would lead anyone (unaware of life) listening, to place them on a pedestal.

Unfortunately everyone is a witness to what happens when individuals like Juanita makes a mistake and they are questioned on what message they are really preaching.

Unfortunately this is the society we all live in.

  139. The qualifications the Word gives for Bishop does not fit Bynum, Weeks or the Whites and many others who have given themselves the name bishop. To be a bishop is to be a servant to all.
What God does not call will fall. Christianity is what people feel is marketable. it is marketable for insurance rates, music that is called christian but does not mention the Lord to not offend anyone and eventually crosses over to the secular proclaiming it is ministry. There are special rates at christian theme parks, hotels, but it is as if there is no need for what people need the most which is true repentance that brings true conversion. These poor people do not know the Word to convey it to the lost. I once saw a play about Paul and in the play, the words used were from the bible. It was outstanding. One day, I saw the man who played paul. He was on tv for commiting a crime against a child, yet, many called him a christian and spoke that he was annointed and that God was using him mighty. The man claimed not to be a christian. The words says we will know them by their fruit and the Spirit will bear witness. There are few that are attending a local church in every town. The few that refuse to turn on tv for they support their local pastor who preaches the Word. There is prayer and through prayer there is discernment. In these days, use discerment and read for ourself what is in the Word to know if you are being deceived and be bold to tell the truth that the truth will set one free. Our prosperity is not monetary for we are not of this world. Our prosperity is the grace we have been given through Jesus Christ that we have the strength to endure to the end that we will reign with Him.

  140. Are you a believer using words like clown, etc. for those that have fallen/made a mistake though called of the Lord. Even David would not commit such an act/ response and he was being hunted down by a killer. “He said he dare not touch the Lord’s anointed.” What about you/ us? Can’t we let God judge a man/ woman? It’s not the end of their life or totality of their walk/ experience with God. However, this yet sounds like our own religious/ hypocritical selves casting stones with a mote perhaps even larger in our own eyes.

  141. So Many words…How do we have the time to read and respond to all of this if WE ARE BUSY FULFILLING OUR PURPOSE!!!

  142. Elaine, I understand everything that you’re saying and it’s true. But what you must also realize is that many of the comments are

  143. Some comments may sound a bit harsh, but I believe many people are speaking out of frustration and disappointment. I don’t believe that anyone is rejoicing over this. What people must realize is that when the man or woman of God falters, it affects the whole body of Christ. It gives the world an opportunity to laugh and say “christians are fake.” Once the problem is no longer kept in the Body, you then have to do damage control. Since we are the family of God, you find yourself defending the man/woman of God against all your unsaved relatives who think you’re crazy for following them in the first place. Then you got all your “I don’t believe in God” co-workers. Leaders must realize that Christ is attached to everything they do, good or bad. God holds them to a higher accountability, why shouldn’t we. Leaders have a great impact on the followers of Christ. It’s not often the people of God hear Jer 23:1 preached, Woe unto the sheperds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture! Do you realize how many people of God will be affected, not to mention the unsaved who already have doubts. Right now many are confused and disheartened. Many will leave the church. Jer 10:1 For the sheperds have become stupid and have not sought the Lord, therefore they have not prospered and all their flock is scattered. What Pastors do behind closed doors is on them. But ultimately it will come to light. Being a Pastor is a privilege and should be held with honor. You are a servant of the Most High God. They’re examples to the flock, in times of a crisis why not allow God’s mercy and grace to guide them through. It’s sad because once again the name of Christ is put on trial. Titus 1:7, For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to FILTHY LUCRE. It’s time for the “church” to return back to Christ. 2Chronicles 7:14 says, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

  144. There are so many comments here concerning the past events and certainly there is scripture to support all of what has been said, whether right or wrong.

This indeed is a backlash of “sin” that has been taking place in both of these households. It is a backlash for the false doctrine that has been proceeding forth from these individuals.

If you are honest, the doctrine that they preach is not what Christ came preaching. These self-proclaimed evangelists and preachers are being exposed and God will use the “world” to do so in order to bring them to repentence so that their souls will not be lost.

We are indeed at a time where men will not endure sound doctrine. We are heaping up teachers whom will say what we want to hear.

Our ministers and churches look and sound so much like the world that you can determine which is which. God will not allow HIS name nor HIS church to continue to be blasphemied.

Most of these ministers have gotten outside of the will of God and jumped on the “prosperity” wagon to where they receive much gain.

Paul confronted Peter to his face when he was in error. Jesus as well as John the Baptist called the pple “vipers”. The church has been instructed to confront sin where it is – there are guidelines put in place from the book of Genesis to the New Testament.

We can’t just do and say what we want. The church cannot be chicken hearted and let sin run rampant saying “I can’t judge” or he that is without sin cast the first stone”. There are no stones being cast here, fact is fact, truth is truth and we as a body have a responsibility to deal with it first hand. This idleness and turning our heads is one of the reasons the church is in the state that it is in now. Somebody has got to stand up and say “thus saith the Lord”.

God sent many prophets rising up early to go to the children of Israel to warn them of the oncoming judgment if they did not repent. Brothers and Sisters, we have been given that same charge. There is a day of judgment and anyone found on the world’s side will face that judgment – irregardless of the status of fame, preaching, teaching, evangelizing, paying of tithes, etc. You will go to hell.

We are not condemning but judging righteous judgment as called instructed us to do. The comments appear to be harsh but sometimes, truth is hard. Again, Paul asked if there was not a wise man among the Corinthians to judge even the smallest matters. He asked them if they knew that they would judge angels.

What is wrong here is that we are using this formate to voice our opinions and unfortunately, this thing has gotten so widespread with the media, etc that the “world” has to see how “church folk” are to handle their “dirty laundry”. These matters should be held within the confines of Bynums and Weeks’ churches and of course, a statement of reconciliation and/or biblical counseling should be in place.

How both “camps” are handling this matter is ungodly. We do not invovle the outside world in our matters. But, because the events took place in the outside world and the laws of the land has to handle it, a statement has to be made incluidng the world but, they do not need to know the gist of what’s going on.

We can come up with so many scriptures to support our thoughts, and more often than not, they will be correct, but the scriptures tells us to restore such a one in the spirit of meekness (Galatians 6 v 1) but they have to repent and meet the necessary requirement os the “church”.

Neither should be preaching/teaching at this time anywhere. The sin in their lives have come to the LIGHT. They need spiritual counseling and if they are deemed fit to return to their posts, they so be it. Both are acting out of their natural feelings and not being led by the Spirit of God. Sin will get you that way.

Nothing happens without God. God may be using this incident to correct them in their error of preaching false doctrine. He will expose our deeds in some form or fashion – this may be HIS way of exposing them.

God sees and hears all that they have said and done, it had to come to a head. Now, it is our responsibility as a body, to pray for their repentence and whatever God deems necessary. But, they need to repent because they can stand in pulpit after pulpit but without a restoring of a right relationship with GOD and repenting to the church of their doctrine of devils, they are still facing impending judgment -hell.

It is a known fact, that their doctrine is in error, that’s no question. However, “star status” does not exempt them from the chastising hand of GOD. It does not mean that the body should accept whatever they say or do because of who they think they are. It means that we are to stand up and render righteous judgment, according to the Word of GOD.

Let’s be in prayer and refrain from posting comments such as these that the “ungodly” can take and use to attack the church of GOD and it’s statutes. It’s unfortunate what has happened but, God knew before that actual event manifested itself into the natural realm. He saw it. Now, let’s lift them up in prayer that they humble themselves before God and man, repent of their evil and rebellion and get back on the right track with GOD before it is everlasting too late.

  145. Check these videos out and tell me if you think this man and woman are qualified to be “leaders” in the Body of Christ:

  146. i agree w/ everything you say, but the part about it being a black eye on christians (paraphrase), i don’t believe. i believe God knows who are His. I don’t believe He is worried about the reputation of His church being hurt by charlatans. all this man-made religiousity, is exactly that, man-made(flesh-pots). He said to ‘let the wheat and the tare grow and up together and He will do the seperating.’ so all those who are doing this and that for what ever purpose, reason, or motive will be exposed. like my mama always used to say, Lord ha’mercy on their souls when that day of reckoning comes.’

  147. Leslie McFall has an interesting way to deal with the so-called exception clause in Matthew 19:9 that appears to allow for divorce and remarriage for marriage unfaithfulness.
He has written a 43 page paper that reviews the changes in the Greek made by Erasmus that effect the way Matthew 19:9 has been translated. I reviewed McFall’s paper at Except For Fornication Clause of Matthew 19:9. I would love to hear some feedback on this position.
