The Ninth Commandment:You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor

I see so much 9^th Commandment breaking it makes me sick. The Internet has made breaking this commandment so much easier, and it needs to stop. I’ve been guilty of it in the past and hopefully have repented of this horrible sin. For those of you who don’t know what the 9^th Commandment is;

Exodus 20:16 NIV

“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

Changes at Theology Today!

In case you haven’t listened to my podcast there are some changes happening around here at Theology Today.

I set this site up here a while ago and wasn’t sure what to do with it and due to some folks who prefer to act unbiblical and irresponsibly I’ve enacted the following changes.

Beginning today you will no longer be able to comment on the various articles here at Theology Today. I will still post the articles here at TT but you will have to visit the “ning” site in order to comment on them. I’ve been racking my brain (well maybe “racking” is too strong a word here) trying to figure out just what in the world Mr. John Chisham (I refuse to call him a pastor any longer) is going on about in this thread here. Well, looky here what I found…..I think this might just be what he’s nattering on about;

Yankees or Phillies?

NY Yankee fans have been “giving it” to me all week as have the Philadelphia Phillies fans……all because of this podcast! I even had one legalist tell me I shouldn’t care about sports at all and only “preach the Gospel”…..

Anyway, who do you guys like in the World Series this year?

I’m predicting the Phillies in 5 and waiting for next years NY Mets disappointment.

Missing the Point, Making My Point Plus a Bonus Just Because

Yesterdays posting was a simple posting, or so I thought. My daily readers completely understand who I write for and why I have this site in the first place: to edify my community, a community where English is either their second or third language. I even re-wrote this simple piece at least a DOZEN or so times just to be certain it wasn’t misunderstood.

Apparently Pastor John Chisham, who I believe only speaks English, completely missed the point of the posting and called me a liar as well as taking a swipe at the Emergent Church.

Here’s how it all came down…….

Thanks to the Internet, evangelism has never been easier. People of all faiths are now using the Internet to share their personal beliefs and to proselytize the masses with their various messages. Naturally, there are those who don’t share in the author’s beliefs and attempt to correct error with the aim of converting the errant author. While most speak their peace and leave it at that there are some who don’t take no for an answer or don’t handle disagreement very well.

Today I’ll introduce you to what I call “Militant Evangelist”……
